This page contains questions, comments, stories, and miscellanea which ought to be of interest to at least some of us Mollicas. I also put genealogy information here that also finds its way to the Unlinked Mollica Family Trees part of the genealogy section of this web site.

Joe & Mary Mollica are owners of and run 'Ship to Shore' restaurant on Rte 108 in Newfields, NH.

Featured on WBZ-TV's Phantom Gourmet they scored an unbelievable 91 out of 100 points. Gary LaPierre WBZ radio news anchor is a regular there.

Ship to Shore is not online...yet. It's open Tuesday-Sunday....make reservations they are mega-busy. Worth the wait. ...john m

...By the way, I've been talking to a person (not a Mollica) over in Italy via email. He brought up that, in italian, Mollica means:

"Mollica" in Italian means "crumb", the white and softer part of bread. (It's a common surname here.)

If you don't already have this on your page, you might add it! Take care and long live your cool Mollica page!

Subj: About John Mollica on Seinfeld

Hi Rick!

How have you been doing? I received some info tonight I thought you might be interested in. I spoke to that John Mollica whose name/persona was mentioned on Seinfeld. He is a filmmaker and resides in West New York, New Jersey. (West New York is a city in Hudson County, NJ). He is also an English teacher. His first feature film is screening here in NJ, it is called Final Exam and it takes a critical look at racism. I don't know if this John is related to me, or not. He is 42, his father's name was Salvatore. His father was born here, his grandfather was born in Sicily. He is going to get more info for me.

Now, the reason there was such mention of him on Seinfeld, is that he is best friends with Kenny Kramer (the real Kramer.) Larry David (the creator of the Seinfeld show) based the Kramer character on him. John Mollica is also a friend with Larry David, although not as close as with Kramer. So... I suppose that in one episode, they made some significant mention, for some reason, of John Mollica. Interesting. I would love to see the episode. Just thought I'd give you the latest.... Regards, Susan

Just showing some friends the home page. I thought Mollica meant "crumb of the bread" which is the inner part without the crust. I even have a recipe someone gave me for "Mollica" - or I may have it somewhere.
