elcome to our Index of family clubs and family historical organizations, with emphasis upon those with family roots in Dixie, or the Southern United States. Only those family clubs which have web sites on the Internet are presented here. You can visit their sites by clicking on the highlighted names.Family clubs serve a wonderful purpose in the modern space age. They are bringing kinfolk together for the first time in decades. Most of the earliest pioneer settlers became divided families as the population grew and pioneers moved southward and westward from the older Colonial areas. After independence, pioneers movement westward became a flood of migration. Most parents never saw their children again once they moved to the frontier.
Only with the coming of the World Wide Web have kinfolk been able to find "lost tribes" of kin all over the nation. And the Internet came at a time when family clubs are experiencing and explosive growth in numbers. Some family clubs are limited to the descendants of a particular husband and wife, while others are national in scope to include every family of that name.
We hope this site will encourage folks to join their own family club and support it and attend your family reunions.
Many of these clubs have family history and family records on their sites. Some have very large amounts of family history online as well as links to other sites with family history. Most gladly accept contributiions of more family records.
