From the figures below (How's the Registration Going) The Feds have registered 1,431,731 distinct firearms from December 1998, to November 22/01 and no doubt most of those are commercial inventories, which means. Even if you take their ridiculously low ball figure of 7,000,000 guns in the country, and suppose EVERY ONE of those 7,000,000 guns have been submitted for registration TODAY, they would have to process 464,022 guns per month, that's an average of 15,467 guns per day, or 644 guns per hour, working 24 hours per day for the next 12 months.. I'm also sure that if the registration forms are filled out the way their 'supposed' to be, MOST of those guns will also legally require verification. They might be currently registering 1000 guns per day (but not very likely) and the whole thing should not take any longer than 15.5 years if they work 365 days per year.. but wait!!! there are thousands of new guns to be registered as well.. and nightmare of all nightmares...what if there REALLY are 20 million guns in the country?? Oh Ya Mr. Rock!! This registration thing was a great idea...Coming up!!!! a FIFTEEN to FORTY YEAR AMNESTY.. to live-trapped deer in Youngstown suburbs. According to PETA spokesperson
Katie Reese, a total of 405 vests were successfully put into circulation
prior to this week, with additional specimens still being caught and vested.
As of Tuesday, 308 of the vests had already been recorded as bagged.

A Scary Look into the 'fringe element' thinking pattern Doubtless the majority, if not every single one, of the people who suffered and/or died as a result of the September 11 attack ate, and if they are now alive continue to eat, chickens. It is possible to argue, using (Peter Singer's) utilitarian calculations, that the deaths of thousands of people whose trivial consumer satisfactions included the imposition of fundamental misery and death on hundreds of thousands of chickens reduced the amount of pain and suffering in the world. I think it is speciesist to think that the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center was a greater tragedy than what millions of chickens endured that day and what they endure every day because they cannot defend themselves against the concerted human appetites arrayed against them.(This 'although hard to believe' is no joke.. We have spent $7.7 billion fighting terrorism. We have drawn up emergency plans. We have beefed up our intelligence and law enforcement agencies. We have enhanced airport security. We have amended dozens of laws and put in place scores of regulations. It is time to step back and take stock.
