Why Is Public Awareness

so Important?

There are a very many good reasons why the public should become aware of Wicca as a positive, life affriming Religion.
The public officers often mistake, and only due to lack of proper education, Wicca for Sataniasm (although I cant see why). This results in children being taken from the home because the parents have been found to be unfit. Dont get me wrong, there are some of us that really shouldnt reproduce, but religion should not be the sole (and really it can't because of constitutional protection) reason people get thier kids taken away.
Two Words: "Job Security" How many people do you know that have been fired cause thier cross fell out of thier shirt? Now, fellow Wiccans, how many people do you know who have been fired cause thier pent did the same? In Major corporations, such practice is usually against the rules and will get the person responnsible for the fireing fired as well. However in samll buisinesses (and some not so small) where such polocy is not in place it happens routinely.
Harrassment. Number one, I dont think that even if the people low enough to harrass people because of thier religion or herratage would stop, even if they knew more about us. But it might help stop someone who was thinking about it.
