8 Sabbats, or 'Holy Days' of my faith.
We have 8 Major Holidays, Not including the full moon, new moon or those days when you just have to do ritual cause you need to unwind.
Yule
Winter Solstice. It is the longest night of the year and a celebration of the turning of the wheel as well as a night of re-birth for the Sun King (as the days get longer from here on out)
Candlemas
A final ousting of the winter months, The Gods begin to trade places in the scheme of things. People look to the positive future and banish the negativity from thier past.
Ostara
The Spring Equinox. All-out, no holds barred celebration of new life in the spring. The Goddess in in charge now, let fertility reighn!
Beltaine
Last of the fertility rituals. Love and union. Preparation for the summer ahead
Midsummer
Summer Solstice. It is a celebration of the Sun King. Achievment, passion and success are all celebrated and worked towards for this day.
Lughnassadh
(dont worry I cant get past the first syllabal either)
Annother celebration of the Sun God. Preparation for the harvest. Not only of the feilds but of the soul as well
Mabon
A second Harvest Fest.
Samhain
Wicca's new Year. The end of the harvest and the end of the past year's troubles. We Strive for new things in the comming year. This night the veil between the sprit world and ours is thinnest, allowing for easy communication
These are our Holidays, In a nutshell. Other Traditions call them by diferent names and such but the basic Idea is simmalar
