DAY 7. Sunday June 27, 2004

It was a later morning with breakfast at 9:30 and meeting at 10 to stroll up the gondola. We saw the ice glacier and crevasse, and walked in the snow. For some of the group this was the first time seeing snow and some threw snowballs and went down the hill on cafeteria trays. Prices at the top were insane for food! I was stupid and bought up there. Note to future to buy fruit and deli items when in Switzerland! Coming down we met Heidi from the Alps who told us a bit about town which was quite interesting. Nice to meet the locals. Was surprised to see that the cows do wear large bells. Also surprised at the number of dogs. Kim and I did some internet (and some did laundry), and we strolled through town. Heidi had pointed out the monastery so Kim and I checked out the church. It was beautiful. We then had a relaxing lazy night. Supper at 7 was once again really good with bread, cream soup, chicken, rice, veggies and fruit salad. For those interested, we once again had an opportunity for some 2 for 1 drinks.
