DAY 8. Monday June 28, 2004. LIECH./INNSBRUCK
We were up for bags at 9 and drove stopping for lunch in Liechtenstein which was slightly cheaper than yesterdays lunch (only 12 franks for a burger and pop). You could pay around 2 franks to get your passport stamped but I ate and then went to get stamped rather than vice versa only to find them closed at lunch. Doh… Anyway, as there weren’t enough people to do the rafting, Jeff instead organized and brought us to a crystal place. I didn’t go in the museum but spent the time in a huge giftshop. From there we proceeded to Innsbruck where Jeff showed us the golden roof. We then had supper consisting of vegetable soup, turkey and potatoes and chocolate syrup. It wasn’t too bad. We went for a walk around town and once again there seemed to be a lot of active people with cyclists, roller bladders, and walkers. There were also far too many slugs on the road… UGG… But that being said I was sad our time in Austria was so short- it appeared to be beautiful and much more reasonably priced than Switzerland. (I bought my first touristy tank top for 15 Euro).
