DAY 18. Thursday July 8, 2004
up for 8am bags. We stopped at Vimy Ridge which is of tremendous historical relevance dating back to the 1st world war. The pocks in the ground from the shelling was rather amazing. We got a picture of the Canadians at the monument. We continued on, and the ferry was smooth. The bus was quiet. We were into the hotel by ~4:30 even though they had given away our reference number delaying us at the port. Stopped in at the Goose to say goodbye to the crew who were there around 7pm, but couldn’t stay long. Have to be up at 2am to get ready to catch our flight to Cork Ireland.
