'unsubtle innuendo' MEDIA RELEASE ... 'unsubtle innuendo' showcases the three latest recordings from Newcastle-based original act WARD "C": This Song Has Only Got One Note, The Crystal Mat and Bowling Club Sluts. The songs were recorded and produced by Rob Long at SOUND IDEAS studios, Merewether, Feb - May 2002. No chickens were harmed during this procedure. 'unsubtle innuendo' is unlike previous WARD "C" recordings. The sound is much more electronic, with increased sampling and keyboard effects. Importantly, MC Hubert plays all the instruments, indicative of the studio feel these tracks share and also reflecting the loss of musicians that initially accompanied the relocation of WARD "C" to Newcastle. WARD "C" have maintained covert operations since arriving in Newcastle some time ago. Although dormant on the live scene, there has been much writing, recording and PREPARATION. With the recent discovery of remaining members, sonic copulation is progressing most satisfactorily. When WARD "C" hit the Newcastle scene in a few weeks time they promise a completely original sound and visual spactacular. 'unsubtle innuendo' is merely an appetiser to whet the palate in preparation for the smorgasbord that is WARD "C". |
