| Born
'64 and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, and am living there
(again). Have a BSc (Computer Science, Physical and Inorganic
Chemistry) and hopes of doing an MBA at IMD in Geneva soon. I work as
a general manager for an electronic commerce (aka dotcom) company. I
travel a fair bit - well too much, actually ;-) Hey Cyg - I won a trip
to SB27 at the Rosebowl and saw Cowboys down the Bills - now isn't
football US-style a boring game! It even makes Michael Jackson's
          mid-concert gig entertaining :-) Am
married with 3 kids (2,6,8) and enjoy music (classical mainly -
including playing cello with my daughter who's getting better at the
violin), outdoor stuff - rock climbing (with colleagues), white water
rafting (Aus, NZ, Canada, USA, ...) and just good company and good
          wine.
           I've
studied with JWs (a couple of times - on again, off again) and have
attended meetings (that was 15-20 years ago) for long enough to know
many JWs. I came to H2O while trying to help out a friend long enough
ago to have forgotten (which became trying to help out a number of
friends - JWs and studies), and have stuck around since. Like most
newbies I got accused of all sorts of things, but am fairly resilient
          so eventually got over it.
           I
still have a bunch of JWs who I keep in touch with, and with them I
walk a thin line, keeping my hat on to obscure the horns which a
number of prominent elders have told them (and me) protrude from my
skull. The local CO nearly had a heart attack when I popped a few
questions to him at the '99 memorial farce (oops, I mean feast).
           Moderation
is something I do when I have time and get the urge - oh, and when
          someone trips me off!
           I
do believe in total inspiration, and am motivated by the hope of
Israel (the literal seed of Abraham), the resurrection and a world
filled with the glory of God.
           Oh,
and btw, don't forget, a.j.w. are my initials - the other
"name" does not sit well :-) |
