Dear Class,
We have had a full year with many blessings.
On November 12th, we welcomed Abigail Anne into our family. That day was our 11th anniversary, and my parents were babysitting the kids for the weekend. My labor intensified as Jon and I sat in the movie theater watching "Pride and Prejudice"; Abigail arrived just three hours after the movie ended. We couldn't have planned a better gift to top off our anniversary.
My brother, Peter (and wife - Pollie), welcomed their first baby in August. They named their baby Stephanie, after my sister that passed away in '82. My sister, Linda (and husband - Cliff), welcomed their third daughter in September. So, my parents were blessed with three grand daughters in 2 and a half months.
The kids are growing up so quickly. Joanthan just turned 10, Christine is 8, Michael turned 7 just this weekend and Timothy is 5. This is our 4th year of homeschooling and we have a pretty good routine. The kids like hanging out with each other, for which I am thankful for. They have an endless amount of energy and use up some of it on the tennis and basketball courts.
Earlier this year, I had a small part in a local community production of "The Sound of Music'. I played a nun (and turned into a pregnant nun mid-way through rehearsals!). The rehearsals and 21 performances took quite a bit of time, but the experience was a lot of fun and reminded me of high school. On a separate note, I'm so thankful for good health. It has been seven years since my breast cancer diagnosis, and God has been so gracious to me. He has taken me to new heights in my relationships with Him through it all.
Jon is still working at Boeing. He is an Account Manager/Lead Engineer supporting technical issues with airlines. His accounts are United Airlines and Air Canada.
We are pretty involved with our church. Jon is the chairman of the elders/deacons board and teaches adult Sunday School. I play the guitar and the bells on the worship team. I never thought the one semester of band with Mrs. Jobes playing percussion would come into use 20+ years later !
Hope you are all doing well !
