Hi everyone !
It's now been 11 years since we moved back to Asia, and a full six years here in Kuala Lumpur. We're thoroughly enjoying the country still. The boys are growing up, with the two older ones already in middle-school. They're all at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, which is well known in this region for providing a good education along with a superb variety of activities that involve travelling in the region. Our oldest son, Markus, just had a chance to go to Alabama to the NASA space camp with a group fo 8th graders. Regardless of the long journey, it will be something he'll never forget.
I've been in charge fo the business here in Malaysia for the last couple of years, but have taken on some additional responsibilities in the forming of our Middle East business unit in Dubai. I've spent approximately a week every month there and have enjoyed getting to understand that culture a bit more. The heat is unbearable though, at approximately 50 degrees Celsius (approximately 120-125 F) !
Riitta has restarted her PhD study and has spent some time in Finland at the University this fall. Now taht the kids are bigger, she has some time to spend on it and aims to finish it in a couple of years. Unfortunately, here in Malaysia, she cannot utilize her skills, as the regulations here don't allow her to work.
