Amy Nicholls Days
Just wanted to drop you all a line to wish you all a Happy Christmas, since Sheri does such good job of prompting us all, encouraging us to send in an updates !

Since last year, my husband Tom has changed his job and works at a store closer to home.  He works as a sales assistant selling power tools and the likes - a tiny similar to Home Depot Stores - I think that is what they called in the States!

Our eldes daughter Alexandra (Lexie) who will be 19 at the end of February 2006, has just finished her first year at university doing Medical and Pharmacuetical Biotechnology.  After working part time at BigW - a store similar to Target.  Her hobbies are watching DVDs, Seinfeld, the Nanny and Gilmore Girls!  She also likes surfing !

Daughter number 2 is Georgina, who will be 17 in January.  She has just completed her year, rerceiving Dux of Senior Chinese, and Best Effort for the year over all her classmates.  She's aiming to be an English/History high school teacher when she grows up!  She has worked time at Pizza Hut since was nearly 15 and has also worked at BigW for the year.  Like her big sister, she bought her own car at 16 and a half years of age, and is to go on a school trip to China next year.  Her hobbies are singing, playing the piano, collecting stickers and being an angel to everyone around her!

Joshua will be 16 in March and his passion is playing the guitar.  He's not very interested in school, but is looking forward to becoming a Junior next year at the new Senior School complex that that has been built at the school they go to.  He's a charming boy when all is going well, but I guess like many teenager boys, is a challenge at times, which doesn't go down with his eldest sister!  He too works at Pizza Hut, but has already decided that he won't be able to afford to buy and run a car when he gets his license next year - all his money goes to music related gear like sound amps, guitars, and the likes!

Thomas will be 14 in April and is a simple soul.  At school he loves serving the students in canteen/tuckshop each lunch time which he has been doing sicne he was about 11, in Georgina's footsteps!  He can't wait to get a real job - something other than emptying the dishwasher each day, and putting out the garbage bins each week!  He has been helping as a Sunday School assistant this year, as he was too old to go to Sunday School.

I continue to do secretarial work for a sports chaplain, help out my brother Tim at his computer shop, and care for various people during the week, buildilng bridges of friendship along the way, so that they may one day come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

In April I was privileged to take the four children to Taiwan for I thin it was 9 days.  We stayed with the Liu's (Bakery)  - my natural family, and were spoilt rotten by them.  It as a good for the children to see where I grew up, and where I went to school.  Then in November, I had a whirlwind trip to Orlando Florida to surprise Ba Liu for his 80th birthday celebrations!  I was supposed to be away for a week, but it ended up being 9 days after problems with United Airlines - but then that's another story!!!

Well, I think this is about everything that I need to say!  Each day I give thanks to the Lord his goodness and provision.  We have been truly blessed.
