Back in October 2002, Belinda Carlisle said in an interview she'd 'like to go back to cooking school' and now two years on she's about to enter Hell's Kitchen where her teacher is none other than Gordon Ramsay.
"I love cooking so for me it was all about learning from the master himself. I think Gordon's an incredible motivator. He's very charismatic, I'm not scared of him!"
Belinda does admit to a little prep planning at home prior to meeting with Gordon during the celebrities training sessions:
"I got Gordon's cook book thinking I'll be one step ahead but having experienced a little of the training, I closed it because I was horrified at how much harder it was!"
Belinda made the journey from teen punk band the Go-Go's to acclaimed pop star, recording instantly memorable rock-pop ballads such as 'Heaven is a Place On Earth'. Over four decades she has clocked up 7 million album sales and 2 Grammy nominations.
In 2001, at the tender age of 43, Belinda accepted an offer to appear in the August issue of Playboy. She obliged, and was Miss August.
Belinda currently resides in France with her husband and son so she's used to fine fare and long lunches. |
