September 2005 |
OK! The year is winding down & I updated this page two times. I'm going back to the concert reviews because they're fun for me, and hopefully for you. |
It's nice to maintain Tuesday afternoons for another semester. I don't think you'd be reading this if you didn't enjoy the show somewhat, so here we go! To another great semester of learning, sharing & rocking out to great music! |
So, where do I restart this story? Let's go back to late March 2005 and pull out the highlights. |
3/31 Dead Meadow & Jennifer Gentle completely rocked the Grog Shop, heavy & psychedelic style. It was nice. I hope Jennifer G. found a place to sleep that night. They were looking for their host. :) |
4/25 The Undertones reunited, minus Feargal Sharkey & played the Ballroom for a very fun and rockin' night! |
5/21 - Boredoms. Chicago. Mind-blowing. Life-altering. |
6/3 - Legendary! Kraftwerk. Detroit. |
6/6-6/11 CMJ Comes to Cleveland. More dreams fulfilled! ** Autolux ** ** Pixies ** ** Futureheads ** ** The Clientele ** |
6/18 - Comets on Fire Destroyed My Brain in Detroit Rock City. |
7/13 - Legendary (summer's tag word!) foul-mouthed soul man Blowfly! |
And I think we can say Summer has come to an end with these shows: 8/17 - Sunburned Hand of the Man. Groove folk! 8/18 - Kinski & Oneida on the same bill & what an amazing bill it was. 9/6 - Akron/Family. Great Lake Swimmers. 9/10 - Studio-A-Rama |
In case you were wondering... I have to say, "Yes. This was, without a doubt, the most amazing summer of my life". |
