The boys
were very helpful this weekend, they did the shopping and errands
so that Mom could spend the day at school finishing her term project since it
is due tomorrow. And the Professor will accept NO LATES!!!
Mom
called in sick to work today, sick of being jerked around 1st thing
in the AM, but ahhh well. Keith and I get the kids
off on the buses and around
The working 6 days a week is getting old and I have
no time to do anything, between work and school I am swamped.
Well we spend about 3 hours and $600.00 and get all
of it ALL done. One great load off my mind here. We take the purchases home, divide
them up and hide them in the usual spots.
It was wonderful that Keith went with me, he helped pick out quite a few things.
Mom has
to work, but luckily only
Dad and
the boys again take up mom’s slack and do the
groceries and the errands.
Mom has school and gets her term project
grade back A+ woooooo hooooo !!!!!
Tonight we have lab time to do the last rack lab, and any other homework we
made need to finish up.
Keith and his Mom take their annual bus
trip to NYC. They have reservations for the Rainbow room and just a wonderful
time together.
Mom spends the day buried in the spare
room studying, and arranging her notebook, for her final. This will turn out to
be time well spent.
Well today
is Mom’s final in her networking class and of course don’t ya know
it snows for the 1st time this season TODAY!! So I am at work
worrying about getting to class or if there even will be a class tonight. The
snow lets up by the afternoon and Ashley shows up on time and I head out to my
final. It takes me a little over an hour to complete. I cross my fingers and
turn it in.
School
is over for a little bit.
Today is
Dylan’s
I have warned Ian that I will be helping at the party
at Dylan’s school until
Next on the agenda is Ian’s band concert. I
asked him last night what time he had to be there and he tells me it starts at
We have dinner and head up to the school for the
concert, I send Ian along and Dylan and I find seats down front so we hope to
see Ian. The place is PACKED and it is a good thing we stayed, it was standing
room only by the time the thing started.
Ian is in the beginner band so they get to come out
1st (yahoo) But ooops
I notice a problem here. The WHOLE band is in white shirts and black pants and
Ian is in a RED sweatshirt and Khaki Green Camo Pants!
Boy is he in trouble with me, another case of NOT paying attention when
instructions are being given out. We did
the best we could, I was going for the Christmas colors, boy
did he stick out like a sore thumb. The band enters and Ian sits on the left
side of the stage and Dylan and I have seated ourselves on the right side, we
can see Ian’s legs, but that is all. FOOEY. He
is directly behind his music stand from me. Nice work Mom.
The band plays and when they are done, Mom and
Dylan head for the exit, there are a few seats down front I tell some standers,
and head out the door. Mom has to work tomorrow and need to get home to bed.
I ask one of the assistants to get Ian for me and
soon he is out in the lobby with me. Just as we head out the door, he begins to
cry. It seems he is mortified that he was out of uniform from the rest of the
band. I find it hard to muster up much sympathy since it was his
own fault. One of the helpers reminds him that there is another concert
in the spring and he will be properly attired for the next one.
When we get home I ask him “did you play any
different because of your clothes?” No. Did you do anything different
because of your clothes?” No “Did your teacher say anything bad
about your clothes?” No, he told me not to worry about it. “well fine then, it was no big deal, you were the Christmas
tree in the sea of snowflakes” He
finally smiles. Things are better again. We all get changed and head for bed.
Mom actually
took a day off this month, it has been go, go go,
go… Mom and Dad spent the AM wrapping gifts and got the WHOLE thing done
and put under the tree. ::WHEW:::
Mom is
still looking for her grade on the final, I have heard from my partner and she
got an 82 on it. And I keep checking the web site and nothing, so I finally
email my professor… seems that the web site had a glitch and nothing was
showing, because she posted the final grades Monday PM before she went home. My
grade on the final 91…..Grade for the
class A+ and still cruisin’ with a 4.0.
Ian has
his holiday party at school and has a blast. They did not request volunteers,
but Dad an Ian did make cookies.
BOTH mom
and dad have to work today, not so bad for mom, but dad has to work
Mom heads
home and naps and Dad gets home around
Lance
and Michelle got Keith and I a portable fire pit, for the trailer… how
awesome, this is one thing that was on my list to get next spring. (not needed in campground – but WAY handy at the
tracks) we got them the usual libations. The boys got Power Ranger figures.
Gramma B
is spending the evening with us at our house, we head
home around
The boys
sleep in as usual, at least in my opinion, when you get up at
They are
more than thrilled with all their gifts. And of course Dad and I have bought
them way too much. The living room looks like a wrapping paper bomb went off.
They got
the video games they wanted and lotz of Power Ranger stuff.
