HAPPY
VALENTINE’S DAY .
We take our hosts out to dinner to the Port
Orange Steak house, this is the way we spent the last Valentine’s Day we
were there with them. and it was just as good this

TUESDAY FEBRARY

Since there isn’t that much going on
at the track until the Gatorade Duels on Thursday, we head down to
We look at homes in the area, but are very
disappointed in the Boyette Springs Development by KB
homes, this girl doesn’t even want to talk to us, because they are sold
out, they have other developments going in, but she is so not interested in us.
WEDNESDAY FEBRARY
16TH , 2005
I don’t think we ate any meals at
home in the 2 days we were at Dad’s. But it was wonderful to see them.
Keith and I again looked at homes, the one we looked at in
We gathered our stuff together and headed
to Panther Trace (another development) with again no luck, the homes were too
small for what we wanted. well Keith had seen one on
the way to Panther Trace, so we stopped there. RIVERCREST
is the name of it.
We liked the people in the office and went
to look at the models. and we found an AWESOME HOME. and the price was right.
It is called the Hudson II and it has 2100
sq ft the way we looked at it. There are enough bedrooms to have a guest suite,
and the boys to have their own rooms. PERFECT.
There are none available now, but they have
release dates for the balance of the lots and we put our name on the list of
people to be notified.
We have dinner with Dad and Lois and tell
them how perfect this place is, we show them the plans on the house and where
we picked a lot, and they say they will look at it over the weekend.
That and we set Dad loose to find Keith a
job in engineering. He is having absolutely NO LUCK up North. and we have wanted to relocate to
We then head back to Daytona, and arrive
late as usual, spend time visiting and head to bed.

Today is the Busch Race and I get a bonus,
I was unaware that Tony was driving in this race. so I
am thrilled. Well he is the class of the field, and even has a trip thru the
grass, and still WINS!!!
But I didn’t get to see the last lap,
on the 2nd lap from the end there was a wreck by the flag stand, my
seat was just to the right of the flag stand and I was hit with a piece of
debris from this wreck.
I must say tho, I would have made a great
“How bad have you got it” commercial. I was sitting in the stands
with my head bleeding and surrounded by EMT’s
and sheriffs and I’m telling them to move, I can’t see and my
driver is winning.
Not to panic tho, it was a SMALL piece of
debris. It was a lead wheel weight and must have shot up from the wreck since
it came down on my head. I had thought it was a bottle cap or something until,
when I pulled my hand down it was covered in blood. It didn’t hurt, it
was just very messy. I was more upset I got blood on my brand new Harley
Davidson T shirt. J
The EMT takes my
Blood pressure and pulse, and asks if I am excited, DUH, I have just spent the
last 5 laps screaming and my guys just won the race, I think I am excited.
Got a golf cart ride to the care center, a
free tetanus shot, and made sure I got my wheel weight back. (The sheriff had
taken it, NASCAR had to look at it and would then
return it)

My 1st day back to work and I
head straight to the eReassign site. I put in for a transfer
to several Post Offices in the Tampa Area. Crossing my
fingers, that maybe one of them will want me.

since I updated this thing..(The Daytona stuff I just

Things went very well, the kids had a great time,
