ELECTION DAY!
The boys got a new
cousin today. NOLAN LANCE
ALLEN Born @ Weight 7lbs 12oz
& 20 inches long
The boys
have a birthday party to go to and Dad volunteers to take them, yahoo, Mom can
go home and nap. They are done with the party around 6 and we then head to RI
to see the new cousin. Visiting hours are only until 8 so once we drop the boys
at Gramma B’s we hightail it to the Hospital and just make it. Auntie an
Uncle both get to hold the lil guy. What a good baby, even better that I can
give him BACK ! LOLOLOL!!
We roll
into home about 10:00pm after a visit with Gramma B and it’s everyone
into bed, just so happens they are ALL in our bed, oh well …nighty night!
Busy
day, Mom works until
Today is
Parent Teacher Conference Day. I have a meeting at
His math teacher is pleased with him, his 2
favorite subjects, Math and Science that seems to be an even split, Dad is good
in Math, Mom always liked Science (tho NOT Chemistry) I explained to
Ian’s teacher about his condition and that he has been through a lot the
past year and he will continue to have Dr appointments where he will have to
miss school.
This was a good meeting and I even got Ian’s
topic for his independent study project approved, Powers Rangers, he was
thrilled when I told him. He said he would save that for his 8 page report and
do Tigers for his next 5 page report.
On to
Dylan’s teacher. I get the expected report, he is a bright boy, but does
NOT apply himself, he day dreams, he dawdles he does only enough to finish the
assignment and he is the class clown. He is excellent in Math and does ok in
Language arts, but she thinks he should be an A student in that and not just a
B student. She loved him picture of Thomas Jefferson, and we discuss what HE wanted to turn in, as
opposed to what he DID turn in. since mom and dad BOTH got on his case about
how lame the 1st attempt at a portrait was.
Another good report and the expected weaknesses and
strengths from BOTH my kids.
We head
out around
I did manage to watch the race (OK so I’m addicted)
it was a great race tho the Nextel Cup Champ is eeeeeewwwwwwwww
Kurt Busch. I would have rathered Dale Jr. Jeff Gordon or Mark Martin in that order if I had a choice ANYONE BUT BUSCH!!!!
NASCAR is getting way to full of
themselves, Jr lost his spotter because he made some statements on his team
radio (basically his office) while spotting for Shane Hmiel in the truck race,
that NASCAR deemed “disrespectful” of the NASCAR officials and
suspended him, this they found out Saturday AM at the start of practice.
That’s nice take a guy’s spotter the day before the CHAMPIONSHIP
RACE.
Then during the race while he was
LEADING, they Black Flagged Tony Stewart for not listening to a directive from
the tower to close up on the Pace Car on the restart. They did a restart and Tony hung back to cover a
lapped down car from lagging back and getting a run on him, so NASCAR waved off
the restart and set it up to do it again. Same deal with the lapped car, but
this time Tony weaved a little to clean his tires while in turn 4 and NASCAR
told him he knows he’s supposed to stop that in turn 3. so they gave him a pass thru penalty, which by luck he got
to serve under caution or it would have taken him OUT of contention for the
win.
So now what is it? Piss off NASCAR and they will
penalize you? This is way out of control, too politically correct for my
tastes. The drivers can’t even speak freely on their radios anymore. How sad for the sport.
Dad
receives a phone call from Dr Laura about Ian’s Lab’s done on
Here are
all the labs…. WOW lookin’ good, I
thought I’d change the look of the results table too… makes it
easier to see the good and bad readings. Those that are orange are JUST outside
of the good range…. So we consider those good also.

Lucky
Mom, she got mandatory’d to WORK today, ahhhh
well, Keith always does the cooking so I guess I’ll do the usual show up
to the table to eat. J
It was a
quite day at work, I of course showed up, just in time for the meal. After the
clean up was done, the family headed to the movies. We saw SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS THE
MOVIE. While the kids enjoyed it.
And I do enjoy the show, it was a bit much. After that it was home for desert of chocolate
cake that the boys made. And for mom, back to bed, since I have to work in the
morning.
The boys
are off from school today, home with Dad. Mom did her usual post Turkey Day
0600 shopping trip, spent about $500.00 but expect to get about $400.00 back in
rebates, so not a bad deal.
