6 days left. Goodbye Geocities.
Life has changed, yet it has routinely stayed the same. I still code. I still play video games. I still do little else. But the loss of geocities is one constant that I'm now ready to lose.
Thanks for being my outlet. Wabut's Instant Lunch World was a joke of a site. But I've kept updating it. And updating it. Just pure html. No magic language powering this site. Just copy and paste and edit.
Where to next? I don't know. I have a blog out there on tumblr that really isn't a blog. It's more like a collection of pictures. There's almost no text there.
Is it time I really start blogging? 11 years of this. Maybe I should start writing with passion again? Start writing about life. Start writing about humor. Start writing about basketball. Code. Anything, something that will keep my hands busy.
A real blog? I should consider it. A lack of anonymity would be fun. Maybe I can build an audience. I mean, I practically invented blogging right? That can't be hard.
But that isn't worth discussing here. If you need me, you probably already know how to reach me. If not, wabut at yahoo should still work.

Maybe. Probably not.
Do good, and good will be done to you. Ack. I think I undid my good by second guessing your intentions. I think there's a parallel universe out there where I'm still good.
I don't know what to say. You seem happy. I seem happy. But is it all a facade? What are both of our intentions? I don't know. I really don't know.
Really liking Julian Plenti - Julian Plenti is... Skyscraper. Julian Plenti is actually Paul Banks, lead singer of Interpol. This is his solo project. It's got the interpol sound.
It could be great. Or it could be awful. I am awful. So it will probably be awful.
I just want it to end. Do something to destroy me. Eliminate me. Stop me.

Got a pair of Nike Air Max+ 2009. Cost me a ton of money. Of course a week after I buy, bing.com starts giving 50% cashback, meaning I could've got the shoes for considerably less.
But the shoes are worth it. Wore them for the first time today. And they are flipping amazing. It's like walking on a soft bubble. Compared to the Shox and the Adidas Megabounce, it's no contest. Air wins. Air bubbles. Awesome 20 years ago. Still awesome now.

Where will I turn to when this site is gone?
I did an awful thing today. I've done this before. It feels wrong, but sometimes I just gotta find out things. I apologize to anybody who has offended by today's activities. Though, most people probably won't know about it.
Sorry. Good bye Geocities. I hope your death fixes me. But there is no magic bullet. I keep waiting for it. But it doesn't exist.

Oh geocities site, where will I turn to when you disappear on 10/29? And a big thanks to geocities for the awful choices to backup this site. Right click and save? Are you kidding? Buy an upgrade? geebus

This site reflects my personality. The party is over? Am I the last one here? What just happened?
I don't know what the hell is going on.
Mos Def - The Ecstatic is a really good album. Albums like this make me wonder why I ever listen to stuff like The Game or Eminem. This album is that good. It makes other rap albums question why they even exist.
No Hyphen Progress. I don't know what I'm doing.
The Kings just drafted Tyreke Evans even though Ricky Rubio was available at #4. I don't know what to say. I was already down on the gods of the nba draft screwing us over by giving us #4 and not giving us the chance of getting Rubio, but Rubio turned out to be available at #4. Unbelievable. And we passed on him. In Geoff we trust.
End of June. Running low on steam.

I'm not sure what's left to write about. This site will end on a sad note.
I wish I led a more interesting life that would be worth blogging and twittering about. That is 100% in my control, but uhhhh... no excuse.
I guess I could do a music post, but I'm having trouble being excited for any album. Since the last post I've only gotten DJ Deckstream - Soundtracks 2, which isn't as good as the first soundtracks unfortunately. The new eminem is out, but I just don't care right now. That is life.
I need to find the switch that makes me care.

This is how this site will finally die. Geocities is saying good bye. They don't say when. I wonder if they'll let me download my site.
It was bound to happen eventually. I think I wrote here once that I thought geocities made yahoo no money at all. With the economy being what it is, the shutdown is expected. I imagine they have 0 engineers working on it.
Life is good. Tiring, exhausting. I think I've already lost another chance. I'm not really good at this.
Taxes suck. Especially when they gouge you out of the money that you worked hard as hell for. ugh.
I'm listening to Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. It's good. But you have to accept the fact that this is a French band singing in English. The lyrics are a grammatical nightmare.

March. Yikes
Had some crazy days but everything seems to be back to normal now. Same ol stuff
I need some new music. 2009 seems like a down year so far. I gotta find some new artists that don't make me want to stab my ears with carrots.
Flight of the Conchords has ended. Season 2 was good. Not as good as Season 1, but still good. 10 episodes was painfully short though.

I am tired. I don't know what is wrong with me.
The Kings have a bright future. Next year should be a great year. Can't wait to see Spencer and JT blossom after another summer of working on their games with pros.

Year 11? Seriously?
Not much to say. This year should be pretty exciting. And stressful.
I'm looking forward to more sleepless nights. Spending hours on end thinking about everything that is wrong and everything that should be right. Thinking and not doing. Lots of thinking. Very little doing.
A new year starting means TV shows are back! yes! My TV addiction is bad!
I give up. January out. Happy 2009.

2008 comes to an end. A year of what? I'm not sure. But I think overall a great year for me.
I've been at my current job for another year. It's fun, it's challenging, but so far has not been very rewarding. Some of the best parts about working at a startup was the instant feedback and the rapid iteration. That led to an extremely rewarding process of releasing new stuff and fixing new stuff constantly. Working at a large company with rules and regulations? Not as fun. It's understandable why they have the rules. A bad release would be a huge pr snafu. And that sucks.
But there's hope that next year we'll be able to kick much ass. And be able to perform like we did before. Maybe. Please?
