The Book of Chances
(Note: We suggest reading the "introduction" contained in the
first issue in order to understand the context of what is going
on here. But if you are an atheist, reading within context may
not be a priority - then you might as well just start reading
here.)
Chapter Four
Chances 4:1 Adam lay next to his wife Eve with no
ulterior motive in mind, and her body became involuntarily the
host of a clump of embryonic cells and it involuntarily gave
birth to a more complex clump of embryonic cells later designated
Cain.
She said, "Under the total
control of Chance I have involuntarily brought forth a man. I
don't know how this happened."
Chances 4:2 Later her body involuntarily gave birth
to a more complex clump of embryonic cells later designated as
his male sibling Abel. Now (not now, but then) Abel stumbled
amongst flocks, and Cain stumbled amongst the soil.
Chances 4:3 In the random course of events which
some label "time" Cain dropped some of the fruits of
the soil as a happening of Chance.
Chances 4:4 But Abel dropped fat portions from some
of the firstborn of his flock. Chance looked with apathy on Abel
and his droppings,
Chances 4:5 but on Cain and his droppings he did
not look with apathy. So Cain was maybe sort of having trouble
dealing with anger control for no good reason, and his face was
sort of downcast.
Chances 4:6 Then Chance said to Cain, "Why
are you maybe sort of having trouble dealing with anger control?
Why is your face sort of downcast (if there is really a reason
for anything anyway)?
Chances 4:7 If you do what some may or may not call
right or wrong, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do
what some may or may not call right or wrong, logic is crouching
at your door; it desires to have you, but you must ignore it."
Chances 4:8 Now (really then) Cain may have offered
to his brother Abel, "Let's maybe go out to the field."
And while they were maybe in the field, Cain might have attacked
his brother Abel and sort of killed him.
Chances 4:9 Then Chance said to Cain, "Where
is your brother Abel?" "Maybe I don't know," he
replied. "Am I my brother's keeper? Maybe not!"
Chances 4:10 Chance said, "What are you saying?
Listen! Your brother's life-chemicals cry out to me from the
ground and they make more sense than you do!
Chances 4:11 Now you are under a curse of logical
and sequential events and driven into the ground, which opened
its mouth (figuratively) to receive your brother's life-chemicals
from your hand (figuratively).
Chances 4:12 When you work the ground, it will much
longer yield more abundant crops for you. You will be a restless
career worker on the earth."
Chances 4:13 Cain said to Chance, "Maybe my
punishment is more than I can possibly bear.
Chances 4:14 Today you are maybe driving me to the
land, and I may be hidden from your presence; I may be a restless
career worker on the earth, and whoever may find me might hinder
my survival."
Chances 4:15 But Chance said to him, "Maybe
not; if anyone hinders Cain's survival, he might suffer a random
series of bad events for an undetermined number of times over."
Then Chance sort of put a mark
on Cain so that no one who found him might not hinder his survival.
Chances 4:16 So Cain stumbled out from Chance's presence
and survived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Chances 4:17 Cain lay next to his wife with no ulterior
motive in mind, and her body involuntarily became the host of
a clump of embryonic cells and it involuntarily gave birth to
a more complex clump of embryonic cells later designated Enoch.
Cain was then building a master-planned
community, and he named it after his male offspring, Enoch Estates.
Chances 4:18 To Enoch (not to him, but his wife)
was involuntarily born Irad,
and Irad was the involuntary
genetic code source material donor of Mehujael,
and Mehujael was the involuntary
genetic code source material donor of Methushael,
and Methushael was the involuntary
genetic code source material donor of Lamech.
Chances 4:19 Lamech accidentally became the soul-mate
of two women, one labeled Adah and the other Zillah.
Chances 4:20 Adah's body involuntarily gave birth
to a more complex clump of embryonic cells later designated Jabal;
he was the involuntary genetic code source material donor of
those who happen to exist in tents and raise livestock
(Note on "raise livestock"
- archaeology has confirmed that primitive man did hoist cows
up high on poles for some reason. This may have been the beginning
of religion).
Chances 4:21 His brother's designation was Jubal;
he was the involuntary genetic code source material donor of
all who play the harp and flute
(Note - archaeology has confirmed
that there were clans of primitive men who did not hold down
regular jobs. These could have been those men).
Chances 4:22 Zillah's body also involuntarily produced
a male offspring, Tubal-cain, who accidentally forged all kinds
of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-cain's involuntary sister
was Naamah.
Chances 4:23 Lamech sang to his wives, "Adah
and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my song. I may
have killed a man for possibly wounding me, a young man for maybe
injuring me.
Chances 4:24 If Cain is avenged through a random
series of negative events for an undetermined number of times
over, then Lamech is also avenged through a random series of
negative events for an undetermined number of times over."
Chances 4:25 Adam lay next to his wife again with
no ulterior motive in mind, and her body involuntarily gave birth
to a male offspring and named him Seth, saying, "Chance
has forced upon me another child in place of Abel, since Cain
may have or may have not killed him."
Chances 4:26 Seth (his wife) also involuntarily had
a male offspring, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began
to ponder Chance.
