[A] The total firm gross orders. | Those are all announced orders for commercial aircraft from airlines. Excluded are all other customers, like military, Bizjets or VIP orders. Canceled orders or conversions are not considered at this stage. |

Lan Chile [29-Dec]
has ordered 2 additional B767-300Fs. This order is still listed as undisclosed by Boeing.
Continental Airlines [29-Dec]
has firmed up one option for B767-200ER to a firm order. This order is still listed as undisclosed by Boeing.
Northwest Airlines [29-Dec]
has ordered 24 A330-300 and 6 A319-100, bringing the NW orders for the type to respectively 40 and 74. The A330-300s will be delivered between 2003 and 2006 and will be PW 4168A powered. The A330s will have an MTOW of 233t, have the upgarded cockpit, FBW and cabin. Eight options and 28 purchase rights have been arranged. Northwest's existing order from Feb/May-89 remains on the books but is likely to be canceled. The six A319-100 will be powered by CFM56-5A5 engines and will be delivered in 2002. The NW Boeing order is listed in Jan-01.
Undisclosed [31-Dec]
customers have ordered 4 A319, 1 A319 and one each A320 and A321. The first is an order from a new A319 customer operating A320 and A321. The last three orders are option conversions from existing customers, more details will be posted when available.
Qantas Airways [19-Dec]
has confirmed it's announcement dated 29-Nov-00 and launched the B747-400ER with an order for six crafts. Engines will be GE CF6-80C2B5F with 61.5 klbs. The delivery will take place between 2002 and 2006.
American Airlines [19-Dec]
has converted one option each for B737-800 and B757-200. The B757 will be RR RB211-535E4B powered. The delivery will take place respectively in Jul-02 and Jun-02. Total AAL for the types grow respectively to 114 and 124.
Virgin Atlantic [15-Dec]
has signed a firm order for six A380-800 with RR Trent 900 engines and first delivery in Jun-06. They took six options. Total firm orders (subject to launch) for the A380 are now 50 with 42 options. The A3XX got launched and rechristenized to A380 on the 19 Dec 2000.
Iberia [12-Dec]
has converted options for three A340-300 with CFM56-5C4 engines to firm order. First delivery is set for Feb-02. Total Iberia orders for the type are now at 18. Boeing offered SIA A343.
American Airlines [12-Dec]
has converted two options for B777-200ERs with delivery in 2003, bringing total AA orders for the type to 47. The following two option conversion have not yet been confirmed by Boeing. One option conversions for B757-200 with RR RB211-535E4B engines and delivery in Jun-02, bringing AAL total orders for the type to 125. Three option conversions for B737-800 and delivery in Jul-02, bringing AAL total orders for the type to 117.
Transavia [13-Dec]
has firmed up two options for B737-800 to firm order, bringing their total orders for the type to 14.
BBJ [12-Dec]
has announced 2 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 56. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
Air France [05-Dec]
has firmed up one option for A319-100 to firm order, bringing their total orders for the type to 17.
Britannia Airways [05-Dec]
has firmed up two options for B737-800 to firm order, bringing their total orders for the type to 4.
Hapag Lloyd [05-Dec]
has firmed up three options for B737-800 to firm order, bringing their total orders for the type to 27.
SAS [05-Dec]
has converted options to firm order for 3 B737-800, their total orders for B737NG are now 58. The types can be converted to any 737 model, the delivery is scheduled for 2002. These orders were previously listed as undisclosed under a different subtype.
NOVEMBER-2000
An undisclosed [30-Nov]
customer has converted four options for A319-100 to a firm order. It is assumed but unconfirmed that the customer is Amercia West, more details will be posted when available.
United Airlines [30-Nov]
has converted seven options for A319-100 and six for A320-200 to a firm order. Total UA orders for the A319/20 are respectively 69 and 108. This order is still listed as undisclosed by Airbus.
United Parcel Service [30-Nov]
has converted two options for A300-600F to a firm order, bringing their total orders for the tpye to 32.
Qantas Airways [29-Nov]
has ordered 12 A380-800 with 12 options, 7 A330-200 and 6 A330-300 with 3 A330 options. Engine choice is the RR Trent 900 for the A380 and CF6-80E1A3 for the A330s. Delivery will take place respectively between 2Q-06 / 2011 and Jul-02 / 2005. Total firm orders (subject to launch) for the A380 are now 44 with 36 options. The MTOW of the A332 and A333 have been reduced to 202t respectively 212t.
An undisclosed [28-Nov]
customer has signed a firm order for six B747-400F. It is assumed that the customer is Singapore Airlines who signed on 19-Oct-00 a LOI for 6 B747-400F plus nine options. Delivery is set between Sep-02 and 2005. Engines will be PW4056s. This needs however confirmation.

Korean Air Lines [28-Nov]
has converted 2 B747-400F options to firm order. First delivery will start in May-02, engines will be PW 4056s. Total B744F orders are 88, with 9 from Korean Air.
ILFC [28-Nov]
has firmed up it's LOI dated 24 July 2000. The order covers 7 B737-800s which were previously listed as undisclosed on 26-Oct-00, 25 B777-200ER and 8 B777-300ER. Delivery of the 737s will take place between 2003 and 2005, and between 2002 and 2009 for the 777s. Engines for the 777-200ERs are 12 GE and 13 RR.
Japan Air Lines [27-Nov]
has signed a firm order for 8 B777-200ER with GE90-94B engines and three B767-300ER powered with GE CF6-80C2B7F engines. Boeing will take 10 MD11s in trade. The deliveries are scheduled for Mar-02 till Mar-04. Total JAL order for the B763 are 25 with 31 (10, 8, 5, 8) orders for the B777. It is reported, but unconfirmed, that some of the existing JAL 747-400 orders were cancelled.
American Airlines [27-Nov]
has converted 1 option for B757-200 to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 123. The delivery for the RR RB211-535E4B powered -200 will take place in Apr-02. They also converted an option for 1 B737-800 to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 113. The delivery will take place in May-02.
Aero Services Executive [22-Nov]
has ordered one Airbus A319 ACJ, the engines type is not disclosed. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
Vietnam Airlines [17-Nov]
has signed a LOI for 3 B777-200ER with delivery set for 2002/2003. Detailed negotiations will start, no further details are availalable. Engine selection has to be made.
British Airways [16-Nov]
has converted 2 options for A321-200 with V2500s to a firm order. Delivery will take place between Feb-02 and Mar-02. The aircraft will be operated by British Mediterranean.
Air France [13-Nov]
has ordered 10 B777-300ER with GE90-115Bs engines and took options on a further 10. Total direct B777 orders from Air France are now 28 (18 B772ER and 10 B773ER). The delivery will start in Oct-03. Total B772LR orders are 3 and total B773ER orders are 38. This order was announced on the 4th October and listed by Boeing on the 14th November.
Virgin Atlantic [10-Nov]
has signed a firm order for five B747-400 with GE CF6-80C2B5F engines and scheduled delivery between Mar-01 and Jun-01. The aircraft will be sold and leased back via GECAS. This order was initially taken up by Alitalia but later cancelled.
ILFC [09-Nov]
has firmed up it's LOI dated 25 July 2000. The order covers 18 A319, 27 A320, 17 A321 and 20 A330-200. Ten of the A332 may be converted to the yet to be launched A330-500. Delivery will take place between 2002 and 2008. Engine choices have not yet been made. It has to be noted that the A380 order has not been firmed up.
Alitalia [09-Nov]
has ordered 6 B777-200ER with GE90-94Bs engines and took options on a further 6 B777-300ERs with GE-90-115Bs. In addition Alitalia cancelled the B747-400 order from 15 February 2000 for 5 firm B744 and 3 options. The delivery will take place between '02 and '05.
Monarch Airlines [09-Nov]
has firmed up it's LOI dated 26 July 2000. The order is for 5 A321-231 with IAE V2533-A5 engines. Delivery will take place between '02 and '03. Total Monrach orders for the A320/21 are now respectively 2 and 7.
Atlas Air [07-Nov]
has converted 4 B747-400F options to firm order. First delivery will start in Mar-02, engines will be GE CF6-80C2s. Total B744F orders are 86, with 16 from Atlas Air. This order was first reported on the 25th October, listed by Boeing as undisclosed on the 7th November and finally disclosed on the 14th November.
Transavia [07-Nov]
has converted two options for B737-800 to firm order, bringing their total order for the type to 14 plus 10 options. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 20-Dec-2000.
OCTOBER-2000
ACJ [31-Oct]
has announced 2 additional orders for the Airbus A319 ACJ, the customer is the French Air Force. Engines are CFM56-5B7/P. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
Continental Airlines [31-Oct]
has signed a firm order for 2 B777-200ERs with GE-90 engines. As in addition two B764 have been canceled this is indeed an order conversion. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 04-Dec-2000.
Continental Airlines [31-Oct]
has converted five options to firm order for B737-800. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 04-Dec-2000.
CIT Aerospace [30-Oct]
has confirmed it's LOI dated 24th July 2000 and firmed up an order for 35 A320 family aircraft and 15 A330/340 family aircraft. The detailed order covers 4 A318, 6 A319, 18 A320, 7 A321, 5 A330-200 and 10 A330-500. The A330-500 is subject to launch, but can be changed to any A330/340 as needed. The A320 subtypes can be changed as needed.
BBJ [26-Oct]
has announced 1 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 54. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
ILFC [26-Oct]
has converted seven options for B737-700 to firm order, bringing their total order for the type to 117. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 28-Nov-2000.
Hapag Lloyd [26-Oct]
has converted three options for B737-800 to firm order, bringing their total order for the type to 28. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 20-Dec-2000.
ACJ [24-Oct]
has announced 1 additional order for the Airbus A319 ACJ, the customer is Qatar Airways. Engines are IAE V2527M-A5. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
American Airlines [19-Oct]
has converted 1 option for B777-200ER to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 45. The delivery for the RR Trent 892 powered -200 will take place in Oct-02. They also converted options for 4 B737-800 to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 112. The delivery will take place between '02 and '03.
BBJ [19-Oct]
has announced 1 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 53. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
Singapore Airlines [19-Oct]
has signed a firm order for 3 B777-200ERs with RR Trent 800s engines. the LOI was announced on 26 July 2000 . Total 777-200 fleet will increase to 36 with 7 -300s. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 04-Dec-2000.
Air Canada [10-Oct]
has ordered 12 A321-200 @ 93t with delivery between Oct-01 and Dec-02, the second part of the order covers two A319-100s with delivery between Jul-02 and Oct-02. In addition Air Canada will lease from ILFC for 10 years 6 A319 and 3 A320 with first delivery in Aug-01. Air Canada will also lease from GECAS 5 A319 with CFM56-5 and 4 B763ER with GE CF6-80C2s for 13 years, the deliveries will take place between Apr-02/May-03 and May-01/Aug-01. Existing orders for 10+10 A320 from Canadian Airlines have been cancelled. Total direct Air Canada orders for the A319/20/21 are respectively 37, 28, and 12. Engines will be CFM56-5Bs. Worldwide orders for the A32X are 2554 with respectively 157/656/1394/346 A318/19/20/21s.
Continental Airlines [05-Oct]
has signed a LOI for 15 B757-300 with Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4B engines. The delivery will take place between Nov-01 and Jun-03. Total B753 orders are 44. This order has not yet been confirmed by Boeing and is thus considered as an LOI.
SEPTEMBER-2000
GECAS [30-Sep]
has firmed up it's LOI of 26th July. The order covers 30 A318 powered with CFM56-5B engines and with first delivery set for Mar-04. Four A319, 6 A320 and two A321 with delivery in Jul-03 increase the total GECAS orders for the A318/19/20/21 to respectively 30, 25, 76 and 30. Engines will be CFM56-5Bs.
Singapore Airlines [29-Sep]
has signed a firm order (subject to launch) for 10 A380-100 and 15 options. The options may be converted to pax or freighters. The engines will be RR Trent 900s. The delivery will take place between Jan-06 and Nov-07 for the firm orders and will continue till 2011 for the options. Total firm orders (subject to launch) for the A380 are now 32.
Cathay Pacific [28-Sep]
has ordered 1 additional A330-300s at 233t MTOW with RR Trent 772B-6 engines, the delivery is scheduled for Dec-01. Total A330-300 fleet at CX will grow to 20.
Amercican Airlines [26-Sep]
has converted one option for B777-200ER to a firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 44. Engines will be RR Trent 892s. . This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it in 4Q-2000.
GECAS [26-Sep]
has firmed up it's LOI dated 24th July covering 59 B737-700 with 44 options. Out of the 59 new orders, 14 are from conversion of existing options and 45 are new orders. GECAS also signed for 5 GE90-92B powered B777-200ERs with 2 options and 5 purchase rights. The last part of the order covers 10 GE90-115B powered B777-300ERs with 5 options and 5 purchase rights. The various subtypes for the 737 and 777LR may be changed. Delivery will take place between Nov-01 and 2007. This order was listed as undisclosed by Boeing, and disclosed on the 2nd October.
Ryanair [26-Sep]
has signed a firm add-on order for 3 B737-800 with delivery between May-02 and Jul-02. Total B737NG orders from Ryanair are now 28, the first order was placed on 9th March 1998. They have 17 options remaining. Total B737NG orders are now 1639.
BBJ [26-Sep]
has announced 1 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 52. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.

customer has signed a firm order for 1 B737-700. More details will be posted when available.
An undisclosed [19-Sep]
customer has signed a firm order for one B767-300ER. More details will be posted when available.
Continental [12-Sep]
has signed a firm add-on order for 5 B737-800 with delivery starting Oct-02. Total B737NG orders from Continental are respectively 0/36/55/15, the first order was placed on 25th July 1996. Total B737NG orders are now 1633 In addition Continental changed 2 B764 orders to B772, bringing their respective orders to 24 and 16 for the types.
Kenya Airways [12-Sep]
has signed a firm order for 3 B767-400ER. The delivery will start in May-04 for these upgraded B764ERs. An engine choice is not yet known.
An undisclosed [05-Sep]
customer has signed a firm order for 1 B737-700. More details will be posted when available.
Emirates [01-Sep]
has taken over the delivery slots of former Sri Lankan A330-200 aircraft, the delivery of which has been deferred. The engines will be RR Trent 772B-6 and delivery will take place in 2001 and 2002. This order is not taken up in the 2000 summary.
AUGUST-2000

customer has signed a firm order for 1 B737-700. More details will be posted when available.
Air France [29-Aug]
has converted one option for B777-200ER with GE90-94B engines to a firm order. Total direct B777-200ER orders from Air France are now 18. This order was listed as undisclosed by Boeing and has been dislosed on 08-Sep-00.
West Jet [23-Aug]
has firmed up it's LOI of 24-Feb-00 by ordering 20+6 firm B737-700, with 30+18 options. The first figures were announced at the time the LOI was signed, the second were added upon firming up of the contract. First delivery of the directly orders 737s will start in 2003. In addition to this they will lease 10 B737-700 with ten options with delivery between May-01 and Dec-02. Initially it was reported that at least 6 orders were for the B736 but this has apparentyl changed.
Virgin Atlantic [22-Aug]
has signed a firm order for two B747-400 with GE CF6-80C2B5F engines and scheduled delivery between Oct-01 and Dec-01. The aircraft will be sold and leased back via GECAS. This order was initially listed as undisclosed by Boeing, and was announced on the 29th August.
An undisclosed [23-Aug]
customer has signed a firm order for 4 B737-700. Originally the order covered four -800s. More details will be posted when available.
American Airlines [09-Aug]
has converted 6 options for B777-200ER to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 43. The delivery for the RR Trent 892 powered -200s will take place between Nov-01 and Sep-02. They also converted options for 3 B737-800 to firm order, bringing it's total orders for the type to 108. The delivery will take place between '02 and '03.
United Airlines [01-Aug]
has converted options to firm order for 6 additional each A319 and A320, bringing it's total orders for the types to respectively 62 and 102. Engines will be IAE V2522-A5 for the A319s and IAE V2527-A5s for the A320s. The delivery is scheduled for 2002. Total A32X orders are now 2496.
US Airways [01-Aug]
has converted one option for A319-100 with CFM56-5B4/Ps to firm order, which will bring it's total for the type to 71 out of 155 A320 family aircraft.
JULY-2000
An undisclosed [31-Jul]
customer has signed a firm order for one B747-400. It is assumed that the customer is Thai Airways Intl. More details will be posted when available.

customer has signed a firm order for one B737-700. More details will be posted when available.
Kuwait Finance [25-Jul]
has signed a LOI for 4 A320-200, with CFM56-5 engines. Delivery will take place between '03 and '05. More details will be posted when available.
Finnair [25-Jul]
has signed a follow on order for 2 A319 and 4 A320 aircraft. First delivery will take place in '02. Total Finnair orders for the A319/20/21 are now respectively 6, 8 and 4.
ILFC [25-Jul]
has signed a firm order (subject to launch) for 5 A380-800s. The number of options is not available.
Lan Chile [25-Jul]
has ordered 2 B767-300Fs, with first delivery in 3Q-2001. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 18-Dec-2000.
BBJ [25-Jul]
has announced 1 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 51. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
Turkmenistan [25-Jul]
has ordered 3 B717-200s with RR BR715 engines. Delivery will take place in 2001. This order was listed as undisclosed by Boeing on the 25th July, and was announced at FI2000 on the 27th July.
Air France [24-Jul]
has signed a firm order (subject to launch) for 10 A380-800 and took options on 4. The delivery will start in 2006. An engine choice has not been made.
Emirates [24-Jul]
has signed a firm order (subject to launch) for 5 A380-800 and 2 A380-800F, with an additional 5 options. Delivery will take start in Feb-06 for the -800 and in Apr-08 for the -800F. This confirms their commitment from 29-Apr-00.
Alitalia [20-Jul]
has ordered two A319-100s with CFM56-5B5/P engines. They also converted 2 existing A321 and 8 A320 orders to A319. Total Alitalia orders for the A319/20/21 are now respectively 12, 11 and 23. First delivery will take place in 2004.
Egyptair [18-Jul]
has ordered 2 B777-200ER with PW4000 engines. This order is listed as undisclosed by Boeing thus this order is not yet official.
All Nippon Airlines [18-Jul]
has ordered 6 B777-300ER. The order consists of 2 new orders plus a conversion of 4 -300 to -300ER standard. Delivery of the GE90-115B powered aircraft will take place between Mar-04 and Feb-07. The -300s were listed as undisclosed and had PW4000 engines this is thus reported as a cancellation. This order was listed as undisclosed by Boeing on the 18th July.
Frontier Airlines [17-Jul]
has converted one option for A319-100 to firm order, which will bring it's total for the type to 7. They also have 5 A318 on direct order. The engines will be with CFM56-5B5/P and delivery will take place in 2002. The delivery schedule has been accelerated.
Dragonair [07-Jul]
has converted one option for A330-300 to firm order, which will bring it's total for the type to 4. The engines will be RR Trent 772B-6 and delivery will take place in 2002.
JUNE-2000
Amercica West [30-Jun]
has signed a firm follow on order for 4 A319-132 with IAE V2524-A5 engines. First delivery will take place in '01. Total America West orders for the A318/19/20 are now respectively 15, 26 and 21. This order was listed as undisclosed by Airbus and was disclosed in July. Total A32X orders are now 2464 (127, 617, 1385, 335).
China Eastern [30-Jun]
has ordered 5 A340-600s, with RR Trent 556 engines. The customer is still listed as undisclosed by Airbus. Total A340 orders are 304 (28/205/21/50).
The US Navy [30-Jun]
has signed a firm order for an B737-700C. This military order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
An undisclosed [30-Jun]
customer has ordered 2 B737-800s, the delivery date is not known. More information will be posted when available.
SALE [30-Jun]
has signed a firm follow on order for 3 A319, 6 A320 and 2 A321 with IAE V2500 engines. Delivery will take place between Nov-02 and '04. Total SALE orders for the A319/20/21 are now respectively 3, 41 and 6. This order was listed as undisclosed by Airbus and was disclosed in July. Note that 2 A321 orders were converted to A320. Total A32X orders are now 2475 (127, 620, 1391, 337).
American Trans Air [30-Jun]
has firmed up it's LOI of 04-May. The firm order covers 10 B757-300 with improved RR RB211-535E4C engines and 20 B737-800. In addition they will lease 5 B738 via GECAS and 12 via ILFC. First delivery is set for May-01. Options cover 10 B753 and 40 B738. A previously undisclosed order (31-Jan) for two additional B757-200 with RR RB211-535 engines has been disclosed on 23-May.
Southwest [29-Jun]
has signed a firm add-on order for 94 B737-700, 25 options and purchase rights for 171 aircraft. The delivery will take place between 2002 and 2007. Southwest was the launch customer of the B737-700. Total Southwest orders for the type are now 236, if all options and purchase rights are converted the total flet would grow to over 550 units.
EVA Airways [27-Jun]
has signed a firm order for 3 B777-200LR with GE90-110B1s and 4 B777-300ER with GE90-115B. They also took 8 options. First delivery is set for Feb-05. This order makes EVA Airlines the first customer of the B777-200LR.
British Midland [23-Jun]

has signed a firm add-on order for 2 A319-100s, increasing it's orders for the type to 69. Delivery will take place in 2001. Total A32X orders are now 2438 (127, 593, 1383, 335).
Korean Air Lines [05-Jun]
has signed a firm add-on order for 3 A330-323 with PW4168A engines, bringing their total orders for the type to 19 including 3 A330-200s. Delivery will take place between 2001 and 2002. Total A330 orders are 306 (150/156).
MAY-2000
Air France [31-May]
has converted three option for B777-200ER with GE90-94B engines to a firm order. Total direct B777-200ER orders from Air France are now 17. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 08-Sep-2000.
Cathay Pacific [31-May]
has ordered one B747-400F for delivery in Apr-01 and the B777-200 testframe for delivery in Dec-00. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 31-May-2000. Total B744F orders are 75, with 5 for CX. Total firm orders for this year are 189 for Airbus and 185 for Boeing (BBJ and ACJ excluded).
GATX/Flightlease [31-May]
has ordered 18 B738 with 20 additional options. The LOI was signed on 01 March 2000, the deal is linked to the SAA B737-800 order as 8 B738 will be leased to SAA, while the other ten B738 still have to be allocated to an airline. Delivery will start in May-00 with the first GATX aircraft. This deal was previously undisclosed and has been disclosed on the 18 July 2000.
South African SAA [31-May]
has confirmed it's LOI from 01 March 2000 by signing a firm order for 5 B737-800s, as a conversion of the B772 order. Eight B738 will be leased to SAA via GATX out of an existing order. Eight B738 will be leased to SAA via Flightlease out of a new order. Delivery will start in May-00 with the first GATX aircraft.
Air Mauritius [30-May]
has ordered 2 A319 with CFM56-5Bs with first delivery in Oct-01. Total A32X orders are now 2436 (127, 591, 1383, 335).
Continental Airlines [24-May]
has converted options for a further 4 B737-800. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it in 2Q-2000.
Aerolineas Baleares [16-May]
has signed a firm order for 3 B717-200 with an additional 17 options. The first delivery is scheduled for Jun-00, which makes a leasing of the first frames very likely. The LOI was signed on 14 April.
ILFC [11-May]
has ordered 4 A319, 28 A320 8 A321, 7 A332 and 3 A346. The A32X subseries can be switched. Total orders from ILFC are now respectively 291, 43 and 5. The deliveries will take place between '01 and '08. Total A32X orders are now 2434, total A330 orders are 304 (150/154), total A340 orders are 300 (28/206/21/45).
Midwest Airlines [09-May]
has firmed up it's LOI from 17-Nov-99 and ordered 2 A320-214 with CFM56-5B4/Ps with first delivery in May-02. They have also taken two options. Total A32X orders are now 2394.
LTU [05-May]
has firmed up it's LOI from 13-Nov-99 and ordered ordered 6 A320-214. They will lease 8 A320, 4 A321 and 7 A332. Six of the A332 with PW4168A engines will be leased via ILFC for delivery between Nov-01 and May-02. The A320 with CFM565-5B4/P will be delivered between May-02 and Oct-03. Total A32X orders are now 2392.
JMC Airlines [03-May]
has signed a firm order for 2 B757-300s with RR RB211-535E4 engines. JMC was formed from the merger of Caledonian and Flying Colours. Delivery is set for Apr-01. This order was listed as undisclosed on 03-May. Worldwide B753 orders are now at 19 units.
American Airlines [02-May]
has ordered 20 additional B757-200 with RR RB211-535E4C engines. Delivery will take place between May-01 and Mar-02 at a rate of two per month. Total B757 orders by AA are now 123 units. Total B757 orders are 1009.
United Airlines [01-May]
has converted options to firm order for 5 additional each A319 and A320, bringing it's total orders for the types to respectively 56 and 96. Engines will be IAE V2522-A5 for the A319s and IAE V2527-A5s for the A320s. The delivery is scheduled for 2002. Total A32X orders are now 2386.
APRIL-2000
Cathay Pacific Airways [28-Apr]
has ordered 4 additional A330-300s at 233t MTOW with RR Trent 772B-6 engines, the delivery is scheduled for Oct-01. Total A330-300 fleet at CX will grow to 19. Total A330/40 orders are 299/295.
GECAS [27-Apr]
has ordered 16 A330-200 with GE CF6-80E1A3s and 10 A320 with CFM56-5B/P engines. The A320s may be switched to A321. Delivery of the A332 will take place between Mar-02 and 2005 while the A320 will be delivered from '02 till '06. Total A32X orders are now 2376, total A330/40 orders are 295/295.
GECAS [19-Apr]
has ordered 1 B737-700 and 1 B737-800. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 25-Jul-2000.
Delta Air Lines [12-Apr]
has converted one option for B738 to firm order, increasing it's total orders for the type to 132. Delivery is set for Jul-01. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it in 2Q-2000
BBJ [12-Apr]
has announced 1 additional order for the Boeing BBJ. Total BBJ orders are now standing at 50. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
SAS [11-Apr]
has confirmed it's LOI for A321 (17-Feb-2000) and A330/A340 (15-Dec-1999). The firm order covers 12 A321-110 and 10 options. MTOW is 83t, engines will be IAE V2530-A5s. Delivery will start in Sep-01. SAS is thus one of two airlines to have ordered both the A32X and B737NG, the other carrier being Tunis Air. The A330/340 order covers 6 A330-300 and 4 A340-300 with further 7 options. Engine choice for the A330 has not been disclosed, but the RR Trent 772B is the most proabable choice. The delivery will take place between Jun-01 and '04, starting with the A343. Total A32X orders are now 2367, total A330/40 orders are 279/295.
British Airways [05-Apr]
has converted 1 A320 option to firm order, bringing it's total firm orders to 72 A32X with 21 A320. Engines are IAE V2527-A5 and delivery will take place in 2002. Firm A32X orders are now 2355.
SAPO International S.A. [04-Apr]
has signed a LOI for an A319CJ (MSN 1335) with IAE V2527M-A5 engines, delivery is set for Oct-00. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table.
TACA [03-Apr]
has converted 1 A320 option to firm order, bringing it's total firm orders to 17 A319 and 31 A320. Engines are IAE V2527E-A5 and delivery will take place in 2002. Firm A32X orders are now 2354.
jet Blue [01-Apr]
has converted 7 A320 options to firm order, bringing it's total firm orders for the IAE V2527-A5 powered type to 32. The first order was signed on 22 Apr 99, they have 18 additional options. Delivery will start in 2002. Firm A32X orders are now 2353.
MARCH-2000
LAPA [31-Mar]
has ordered six B737-700. Lineas Aereas Privadas Argentinas has leased B737-700 from ILFC and GECAS, making this their first firm order for the type. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 25-May-2000.
ILFC [31-Mar]
has ordered an A330-200 with undisclosed engine choice and delivery in 2005. This order is linked to the cancelation of the last A332 for Leisure Intl.
Japan Airlines [31-Mar]
is the first customer for the B777-300ER with an order for 8 firm units and 2 options. JAL has also cancelled 2 of it's 8 remaining B744 orders. Deliveries of the GE90-115B powered B773ERs will start in June-04 and end in 2008.
Aer Lingus [30-Mar]
has ordered one A330-202 with GE CF6-80E1A4 engines. The delivery of this third A332 is set for Apr-2001.
Easyjet [30-Mar]
has signed a follow up order for 17 B737-700. First delivery is set for Jul-01. Their total orders for the type are now at 32, the first order was announced on 28 July 98.
Mouawad National Company [30-Mar]
has signed a firm order for an A319CJ (MSN 1256) with IAE V2527M-A5 engines, delivery is set for Jul-00. This Bizjet order is not taken up in the 2000 orders table. The order was canceled in Nov-00.
Nouvelair [29-Mar]
has ordered an additional A320-200 with CFM56-5B4/P engines for delivery in 2Q-2002. They have now a total of 2 A320 orders.
Air France [27-Mar]
has confirmed it's LOI from 26-Oct-99 for 8 firm A330-200 and 2 options. Engines are improved GE CF6-80E1A3, delivery will start in 3Q01. In addition to this order AF will lease via ILFC four firm A332 for delivery in 2002. AF has canceled 2 A333 from the Air Inter order, the additional 8 A333s may be canceled in the future.
China Xinjiang Airlines [21-Mar]
has ordered 3 B757-200 with delivery starting in May-01. Engines will be RR RB211-535s. This is a conversion of their B737-700 order which was announced on 30-Oct-97.
GECAS [21-Mar]
has ordered 2 B737-700 and 1 -800. Initially the order was listed as 3 -800s. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 25-Jul-2000.
Continental Airlines [21-Mar]
has converted options for a further 8 B737-800. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it in 2Q-2000.
Frontier Airlines [10-Mar]
has signed a firm order for 5 A318 with PW 6024 engines and 6 A319 with CFM56-5B5/P engines. In addition they have 5/4 options on A318/319 aircraft and will lease 15 A319s from GECAS and one A318 from ILFC. The LOI was announced on 15-Oct-99, first delivery is set for Jun-01 for the A319 and Apr-03 for the A318. Total orders for the A318 are now 127.
ILFC [08-Mar]
has confirmed it's reconfirmable block of 50 B737NG. They are announced as 48 -700s and 2 -800s but may switch the B737NG subseries as needed. The first part of the LOI, which was announced in Jun-99, was confirmed on the 22-Dec-99 and covered 49 B737 and 1 B738. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 2Q-2000.
Delta Air Lines [08-Mar]
has converted one option for B738 to firm order, increasing it's total orders for the type to 131. Delivery is set for Jul-01.
Egyptair [07-Mar]
has signed a firm order for 2 A318 with PW 6024 engines, by converting options from their initial order from 17-Jul-99. Total Egyptair orders for the A318 are now 5 out of 123 A318s ordered worldwide.
Kenya Airways [07-Mar]
has signed a firm order for 2 B737-700. The delivery for the B737s will start in Dec-02. Two leased B737s will be delivered betwen Jun-01 and Feb-03. Three leased B763ERs will join the fleet in Jun-01.
Hawaiian Air [01-Mar]
has confirmed it's LOI of 23-Sep-99 by signed a firm contract for 13 B717-200 and 7 options. Engines are RR BR715. Delivery will take place between Feb-01 and Sep-01. Total firm B717 orders are standing now at 143.
FEBRUARY-2000
Lan Chile [24-Feb]
has signed a firm add-on order for 3 A320 with IAE V2527E-A5 engines. They have now 25 A320 on order as all A319s have been converted. First delivery will take place in Oct-00.
Dragonair [23-Feb]
has signed a firm contract for 5 A320 and 1 A333. They optioned 2 A333 and will lease 1 A321 and 1 A333 via ILFC. Delivery of the acquired A333 is for Oct-01 and between '03 and '05 for the A320. Total firm A330 orders are standing now at 266.
Sabena [23-Feb]
has confirmed it's LOI of 14-Dec-99 by signed a firm contract for 4 A343Es with CFM-5C4s. Delivery will be Jan-01 respectively Mar-01 for the first two frames. They will replace the older A342 and A343 which Sabena currently operates. Total firm A340 orders are standing now at 291. This order will most likely not be taken up by Sabena.
Alitalia [15-Feb]
has firmed up it's LOI of 12-Jun-99 by ordering 5 firm B744 and 3 options. Engines are GE CF6-80C2 and delivery will take place between Mar-01 and 2004. This order was canceled on the 9-Nov-2000.
Delta Air Lines [15-Feb]
has converted one option for B738 to firm order, increasing it's total orders for the type to 130. Delivery is set for Jul-01.
Maersk Air [15-Feb]
has ordered two B737-700, bringing their total orders for the type to 10. This order was listed as unidentified until Boeing disclosed it on the 31-May-2000.
TACA [15-Feb]
has signed a firm add-on order for 4 A320 with IAE V2527E-A5 engines. Delivery is in '01. Total TACA A32X orders are now 17 A319 and 30 A320 as They have now 25 A320 on order as 4 A319s have been converted.
