MAJOR EDWARD CONSUEGRA, USAF (Disappeared:
Dec. 3, 1992)
Ed Consuegra hailed from a close
knit family and had been in the military for 15
years. He had been a contracting officer for nearly 11 months
at the Gunter Annex of Maxwell AFB, AL when told family
members that he had come across a $44 MILLION discrepancy
in one of the contracts he was processing. On Dec. 3,
1992, Ed just disappeared. Strangely, though the military
listed him as a deserter, they promoted him after his
disappearance.
Following Ed's disappearance,
the deaths of three of his coworkers promted the
military to close down the Gunter Annex.
If you have any questions or
comments on this case, please contact MAMMA and
we will make every effort to put you in contact with Ed's
family.
MR2
MICHAEL J. LESLIE, Jr., USN (March 29, 1966 - Sept.
18, 1991)
Michael had served in the military
for six and a half years and was stationed in
Guam as a Security Officer when he found himself forced
to turn in a coworker for stealing. While on duty, on Sept.
18, 1991, 'in a truck that was still running and with
his hand handcuffed to the steering wheel, Michael's body
was found. He had been shot under his chin. Though his
records of alleged thefts and corruption in Guam were missing,
the military ruled his death: 'Suicide'.
If you have any questions or
comments on this case, please contact MAMMA and
we will make every effort to put you in contact with Michael's
family.
CAPT. WAYNE FARRILL
QUICK, Jr. (Bubba), USA (Aug. 30, 1960 - April 25, 1993)
Wayne Quick, Jr. hailed from a
close knit family in Tennessee. After 10 yrs. in
the Army, this 32 yr. old Capt. was in the Army's Advanced
Course at Ft. Benning, Georgia when he disappeared. At
the time of his disappearance, his vehicle was found and
local authorities evaluated the scene as a possible
homicide site. However, three and a half months later,
on April 25, 1993, when Wayne's body was found in the Chattahoochee
River, one and a half miles from where his vehicle was
found, the military decided he'd committed 'suicide'.
This, in spite of the fact that while his shirt and chest
showed evidence of a close range gun shot wound, the jacket
he was wearing, zipped up to his neck, bore no hole at
all.
On May 5, 2002, Bubba's father, Wayne, died. Family members believe that
Wayne's 'broken heart' played a role in his death. Bubba's mother, Nancy,
isn't sure that she will be able to persevere alone. However, the joint efforts
of these devoted parents is documented in the testimony supplied to the
Sept. 12, 1996 Subcommittee Hearing and it will be used to expand this situation,
in the future. If you have any questions or comments on this case,
please feel free to contact Nancy at: quick6@bellsouth.net.
PTE ALFRED GRAHAM MANSHIP, BRITISH ARMY (January 4,
1972 - April 6,
1992)
Mention the name ‘Alfie’ and many people think
of a fine young man, who could light a fire with the warmth of
his smile.
Alfred Graham Manship joined the British Army’s
Royal Engineers in May of 1990.
He’d chosen this particular Regiment as his dad,
who left the service in 1987, had
belonged to it. Alfie, as he was known to family
and friends, did his Basic Training in
Surrey and in September of 1991, he was posted
to Germany.
On April 6, 1992, at 8:45AM, Mrs. Manship, Alfie’s
mother, answered a knock at her
door. She found herself, face to face with a Captain
named, Jonathan Walker, and another young WPC, who suggested that
she ‘sit down’. Immediately, she knew that her son was dead!
Neither of the young men seemed to know any of
the details of how Alfie had died. His mother had to phone Osnabruck
to get that information. When she placed the call, she was shocked
to be told that they’d already performed and autopsy and determined
that he’d shot himself.
When the body of Pte Alfred Manship arrived home,
on April 11, 1992, for burial, the
Funeral Home called his mother, who went to see
him. She was surprised by the Funeral Director, who told her
there was something ‘odd’ about the way the Death Certificate’s
rendering for how Alfie died. When she asked what he was talking
about, the Director said it would be easier to explain if he showed
her and she agreed to take a look.
For a young man, who had supposedly shot himself,
it was might ‘odd’ that Alfie had two bullet wounds in his face,
each with a separate point of entry, but with one that had exited
through the top of his skull and the other having exited through
the base of his skull. Mrs. Manship halted the Funeral arrangement
and requested a second autopsy...’request denied’!
This Situation is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION! If
you have any comments or
questions, you can contact Alfie’s mother, Jan,
at: KentunkaMoby@aol.com
and check out her web site at: Http://hometown.aol.com/ketunkamoby/index.html
