March 2008; "UPDATED" A new section has been added along the Farmington Valley Greenway between Simsbury and East
Granby, eliminating the last on-road detour. The new section detours around a plant nursery and when
they finish rebuilding an old trestle bridge, the trail will link up next to the old Granby Railroad
Station. They've also added a new section and bridge between East Granby and Suffield. They just
have 0.3 miles left to pave. Everything should be completed this year, meaning, you'll be able to travel
from Farmington all the way to Suffield, just shy of the Massachusetts state line. Close to 22 miles
of uninterrupted trail.
