Situation Morningside Primary School is 100 years old. To celebrate this event they are organising a party. They need to be sure that the parents and the children who go to the school know that the event is taking place. They have asked you to design two posters to advertise the event. They have told you that the posters must be exciting and give the reader all the information that they need about the event. Each poster must fill one side of A4 paper. Morningside Primary School is in Morning Lane, London E.8. The party is taking place on the 20th December 2001 at 6.30 pm and will include a children’s disco, raffle, bring and buy sale, face painting, food from around the world, refreshments stall, bouncy castle, examples of year 6 art work. Tickets will cost £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. Task
You must think carefully about the target audience (Parents or children), you may decide to change the information on each poster. You may also decide to choose different fonts, sizes of text or colour. A poster that is liked by the adults may not be popular with the children. Don’t forget to include the necessary information e.g. the date and time of the event.
