My Romance Page
I originally posted this page in time for Valentine's day, but I think there can never be too much Romance in a person's life and so decided to keep it up permanently, but decided to use it as a showcase for the very talented people I have met on the Net. Someone pointed out to me that my page needed updating, because - and I quote "the Valentine's junk is still there". Now - there is someone who needs Romance in their life - hehehe.
This first poem was written for Frank and I by one of our friends that we know from the Quarterdeck IRC server. If you have read the rest of my Web Page you will know that Frank and I first met on IRC and that we fell in love there before Frank moved from North Carolina to Texas to be with me, This lovely poem was written by Sassy and we thank her for it!
The stillness of our hearts
When that day arrived
As we held each other in our arms
A CHANCE DREAM
The distance of time
Keeping us apart
Words and letters
Keep us together
Until that day arrives
When the touch of your hand
And the warmth of your heart
Fills me totally
For you have become my soulmate
We didn't have to say a word
It was all right there
One look in your eyes
And I knew
We both knew
The day had finally arrived
Souls that had been held
Apart with the distance of miles
Were no longer apart
What seemed like forever for your touch
Was now nothing more than the blink of an eye
We are together now
