TOP STORY: FDP Soldiers Evacuate European Provinces!
Bosporus, Turkey - After decades of bloody conflict and struggle the former state of Israel, now known as the FDP has finally deserted their posts in Europe as a peace treaty has been signed between the European Union and the Federation of Democratic Provinces. "A new day has now dawned in Europe, certainly there are still pressing issues from the old Adriatic League; the Mongolian conflict, our monetary defecit and technological lag, however we feel that we are in a good position now to use our resources to the best of our abilities." said Prime Minister Enzo Pagniacci, first ever for the European Union. Most pundits agree, however, that the new government will be unable to make any marked change until war has ended in the Ural mountain range, where Mongolian troops have pushed to as early as this morning.

Berlin Named Capital of European Union!
Berlin, Germany - After much tepidation by the European Parliament Berlin was finally named seat of the European Union's capital. Initial plans had the capital seated in Amsterdam, however due to backlash by the Dutch citizens themselves who did not wish to hold the seat of the government, the capital was moved to the second choice Berlin. Venice and Paris came in at a close third and fourth in the Parliament votes respectively.

United Nations Charter Re-Comissoined in Amsterdam!
Amsterdam, Netherlands - The European Parliament has not forgetten the United Nations project started under Adriatic President Giuseppe Mazzini centuries ago; "It is important for us to finish what such noted names as Mazzini, Rossi and Cavour began so many years ago in the golden age of European Democracy" said Secretary of State Freitzweittler "Especially in this age of internatoinal turmoil, the second world war is still raging on in many respects, and a United Nations would do the world, and the peace process some good." There are some objectors to this project, namely Winston Churchill who is the majority, Dove, party leader "At this point in time our foremost concern should be liberating the Uralsky province from the Asians."

Klamens Mettenrich to be Preserved in Venice!
Venice, Italy - The European Parliament has comissioned the old Medici Palace in Venice to house the remains of Klamens Metternich, the last leader of the Adriatic League and considered by most to be the first leader of the European Union. The Palace, which was heavily destroyed during Israeli assaults, will be refurbished with old regalia from European history. It will serve as a meuseum as well as landmark to the history of our continent. As of press time no opening date has been established.

Asian Panzers Continue Assault!
Savona, Uralsky - UAS (Union of Asian States) Panzers continue to make their way accross the Ural Mountain Ranges exchanging artillery fire with Eurokorps Tanks and Howitzers just north of the FDP Province of Khazakstan. This comes months after the EU Parliament called the UAS out on their claim that the war will end as soon as Israel (now the FDP) signs peace with the European Union. However when the EU demanded that peace include the return of lands taken during the war, UAS officials disagreed and aggression between the European Union and UAS continues in the Ural region. Tensions do not end there however; Zulu Federation Chairwoman Jula Kamma has made it clear that if the territories are not returned and peace signed between the EU and the UAS, Zulu soldiers will in fact have to embark in a "Peace Keeping" mission in order to iron out the situation. However the international intrigue does not end there, UAS ally Australia stated on more than one occasion that while they fully support the tactics of the UAS, which they admitted were blatantly aggressive, they would not aide the UAS with any more than words unless that country faced anhialation. The FDP, Mali and Chinese have yet to say anything about the conflict in the Urals.

Peace Accords Successful in En Nahud!
En Nahud, Zulu Federation - The Western leaders met in the Zulu city of En Nahud in order to iron out and finalize the peace that would effectively end the Second World War in the Western theatre (Balkans, Arabia, Africa). Despite the easy signing of the FDP-EU peace by their leaders, as well as the easy peaces signed between the EU-Zulu and Mali officials, garnishing a peace between the Zulu and FDP was quite difficult, if nearly impossible; "There was heavy tension in the room" remarked Secretary Freitzweittler "There was yelling and shouting, there was even serious talk of another war between the Zulu and Israelites. I was shocked that a cease-fire was finally agreed upon." Despite the situation there is already talks of a Western Congress to discuss issues following the war, including the cleaning of pollution as well as a trade agreement between the Zulu, EU, FDP and Mali Nations.
