DAY 13: TUESDAY, AUGUST 30th
Bacon, beans, and tea for dinner. The regulation woods-diet today, with no extras,- oatmeal, pancakes, bacon, beans, tea, coffee. Our provisions are getting low, but we've only
two days more, and they've held out much better than we had expected. Only had to replenish sugar, flour, and bread,- and those we expected to need more of than we actually bought.
Think
we shall reach Tupper Lake tomorrow, camp there, paddle up light to the village, find out about trains on Thursday. Seems as if we had been out a month instead of only two weeks. Intend to start earlier tomorrow than we did today. Bed nine P.M.
