DAY 6: TUESDAY, AUGUST 23rd
Up at 7:30. Deuce of a time rustling for dry wood, but finally succeeded in coaxing enough of a blaze to have bacon,
fried mush, and an apology for coffee, for breakfast. Broke camp at 9:30 and pulled through rest of Eagle and inlet (one mile) to Blue Mountain Lake,- at last.
Rather rough going on the latter, but the scenery is extremely picturesque. We made Blue Mountain Lake Village at ten, and inquired for mail at the post office,-
two letters for Fred and a bunch of newspapers, but nothing for me.
