DAY 2: FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th
Weather fair and breezy, not as cold as yesterday. Up at seven thirty. Breakfast eight fifteen. We left in a bunch at ten o'clock for Rondax,
a short two miles through the woods and along the Raquette Lake Railway Track. Visited Pettitt's Camp and Fasholdt's, two extremes of woods-camps. Both large, however,
and I understand both take a number of boarders.
Rondax is rather pretty, though quiet,-- a great contrast in the latter particular to Fourth Lake, with its hundred or more camps of all kinds and sizes. Met Fred Williams, and a Miss Mattice of
Slingerlands, who sings quite well.
