Thank you for all the information you have worked so hard to come up with. We are looking for information on how the cobb family goes back to Abe Lincoln. A mr Johns here in Nicholasville Ky said he had traced cobbs back to him,but Mr. Johns died before w could get this info. My daughter in law's family from North Carolina also goes back to him. She is a student at university of Ky and needs this info for a history class she is taking. Thanks again Carolyn Cobb.

Nice website. My direct grandparents are Wilbur and Clara as shown in the photo on this page. We did celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary just last June in Nicholasville, KY. What a great adventure they have had! Let's continue to explore the family as its where we all came from.

Hi!! I descend from the Samuel Ambrose and Rachel Black Cobb line thru the Jarvis and Hignite line. Down thru the Hignite-Payne connection. Of course,I knew the Broughton and Payne had a connection and the Tuttle and Payne's also have a connection. So, I guess I'm cousin to several. Then there is the connection where the Stewarts come in. I have the Payne lineage, and I am deeply appreciative to see this line on line. I also have a Carmack, Gabbard, Peters & Barrett connection to the counties named. This also connects to the Payne family. I will be glad to share with any family in exchange for info to their family. I do have pictures that go back to 1900. Mostly Payne amily. Your sight is great and thank you from this Cobb-Black cousin. Sue Bryant

We have indeed been a productive people, bless you for keeping this information up to date. My wife and I have lived in Charlotte, NC for almost 20 years now and feel right at home. It has been interesting to learn that our people came through this area before migrating to Kentucky. I dont know how they could have moved, it must have been for he hope of better college basketball!! haha. Kevin

THANKS, Bobbie! I really like the way you set-up the Vintner Cobb pages. I'm certain that Tom would be very pleased with all of this, he worked on the Cobb family history for over 30 years. Vintner had became like an obsession with him. If anyone has information on Vintner or his descendants, I would be more then glad to share information with you.

Hey cuzins, This is the son of James Thomas Cobb and Anna I Atteberry. Just seen "Lizzie's" picture and she is a dead ringer for Nicey Omie Cobb (mother of James T and husband of Bradley) Dad also had a half sister by the name of Angeline who died in Cincinatti. I forget who Grandma was married to before she married Bradley but Dad told me she was only thirteen years old and married a much older man who died. Man, I am thrilled that my son found this web and passed it on to me. Beulah (cousin) and I are trying to put our limb on the tree.

I was very interested in the work you have done; however, the descendants of Bradley and Oma (Tuttle) Cobb are not complete. Bradley was my grandfather. Bradley and Oma had 7 children together. Matt and Calep were only 2 of the 7. My
father (Melvin) w s born in 1913. He married Grace (Stigall) on August 30, 1930. Dad died on July 8, 1989 and is buried in Hilltop Cemetery at Avoca, Indiana. Mom and Dad had 9 children, of which I am the 3rd. I can give you all of the details on my brothers and siste s and our children and grandchildren if you are interested. Also, another child of Bradley and Oma is James T. Cobb, who lived and died in Elizabethtown,KY. He had 2 sons. one son, LeRoy is still living in E-town. Bradley and Oma's youngest child was ellie, who married John Crum of Indianapolis. They also had a son, Johnny, who now lives in Brownsburg, IN.
