| PLANNING As known well, AS is a non-profit organization with the major aim of keeping the spirit of Mülkiye intact & alive, while exisiting as an enlightening social influence on the Turkish community. And, as also stated before, its pertaining strategy is "stability strategy". Therefore, the long-term (or strategical) plans are on those subjects. For the time being, AS plans - in the long-term - founding some new social facilities. Enterprises for this has already been realized: 75 acres of land in Incek, Ankara has been hired from the Treasury. The facilities will include a conferenece hall, a hotel, and a sports center, whose architectural designs are already available. As for the short-term plans, these focus on carrying the internal environment of AS on and cover holding social & cultural activities, issuing the periodical, maintaining the contact and co-work with the other non-governmental organizations (domestic or foreign) and informing the public. The cultural activities feature conferences, seminars, cocktails, accommodating student activities, etc. And the periodical includes scientific and academic articles, announcement of the scheduled AS activities, inter-society news, etc. The decision makers are also the ones conducting those planning activities. However, there exist no tangible procedures for planning as well. Yet, the Honorary Board functions as a control device about the pertinence of the activities planned as well as the decisions made. |
