Plot:
As a narrator tells of us stars and nebulas, the “billions and billions of stars” Carl Sagan spiel astronomy fu ensues.
Observatories all over the world have been picking up strange waves from outer space. Could they be messages? A scientist explains the closest solar
system to ours would take 1,000,000 years to reach. A UFO would have to come to Earth.
Tom, Akio and his sister, Tomoko, are watching the skies. They spot a UFO and see it land nearby. When they’re about to go out to investigate it, Akio
and Tomoko’s mother stop them and thinks they’re being imaginative.
The next morning, the kids are out searching. Tom distracts Samurai business man, Kondo, who is actually a cop that makes Barney Fife look Dirty
Harry. They talk about the flying saucer which Kondo disbelieves.
Heading to a nearby vacant lot, the kids discover a flying saucer. Akio and Tom head inside, but Tomoko is too scared. The intrepid duo start randomly
hitting buttons and pretending to launch and somehow actually do launch.
In space, a meteor approaches the ship. Tom and Akio are unable to steer the ship. It looks like all is lost until Gamera flies up and knocks the meteor away.
The boys think Gamera is trying to warn them to turn back. However, the rocket powered giant flying turtle is unable to keep up with the saucer.
Back on Earth, Tomoko tries telling her mother about the boys flying away in a UFO. The mother who must be on a large dose of Valium ignores the
story. She makes Tomoko go and study so she can get into a good cram school.
The saucer lands, and boys realize they must be on another planet.
Suddenly, Gyaos starts attacking some of the nearby buildings. The ground opens, and Guiron crawls out of his pit.
A monster with a steak knife for a head.
A sweet kaiju battle ensues. Gyaos causes more damage to himself when his laser beams reflect off of Guiron and cuts off its own leg.
The boys accidentally beam themselves in front of Guiron who returns underground.
Akio and Tom search some of the buildings. A motorized sidewalk takes them to the master control room when 2 aliens beam in. The aliens: Barbella
and Flobella are able to finally communicate in English. They talk about the planet Terra which is on the other side of the sun which is why Earth has been
unable to see the planet. Akio has been searching the skies looking for a more peaceful planet. The aliens reveal they learned how control the laws of
nature which inadvertently created monsters, too. Only Barbella and Flobella are left. They can leave for Earth soon. The aliens seem worried about
Gamera.
Gamera is still searching for the kids.
As the boys rest, the aliens start to repair the ship. The saucer can only hold 2 people. If the boys aren’t poisonous, they’ll be rations for the trip.
The chicks telepathically interrogate Akio about Gamera and how the rocket powered turtle is a friend to all children. Stock footage of Gamera
battles ensue. Afterwards, the boy awaken unaware of what had happened.
The chicks decide after the ship is repaired. They’ll knock the boys out to eat them and absorb their knowledge.
Back on Earth, Elsa, Tom’s mother, has come to pick up Tom. Akio’s mother doesn’t know where the boys are and is sure Tomoko is a raving
idiot. The mothers decide Tom and Akio have just run off and aren’t bothered at all. Tomoko tries telling Tom’s mom about the saucer.
Tomoko tells Kondo, the Samurai cop. The bikes are discovered. Tomoko drags Elsa and Konda where the saucer was. Elsa is sure that Tomoko
is out of her gourd. There are no aliens in space. Kondo will investigate and contact the local observatory. Elsa is sure the girl imagined it to the point
she tries talking Kondo out of even searching at all.
Barbella brings the boys some donuts. Akio thought he heard Gamera approach.
Gamera heads to Terra.
Akio and Tom pass out from eating drugged food. The chicks take the boys away. Akio’s head is shaved just before they will partake of his
medulla oblongata.
Apply warming lubricant to bald head.
An interruption from the warning siren announces the arrival of Gamera.
The chicks launch a missile at Gamera to no affect. They sic Guiron on him.
Gamera is wounded but still tosses the knife headed kaiju into a mountain and uses his fire breath on his opponent. Guiron is able to shoot
throwing stars at Gamera.
Gamera is thrown in the lake and winds up on his back.
The chicks assume that Gamera is dead.
Tom awakens and finds the head shaved Akio. Tom went looking for the alien chicks repairing the ship. The chicks mention how they will
enjoy eating the boys’ brains.
Tom awakens Akio. Apparently, alien cannibals are an easy idea to convey. They sneak off.
As the chicks are repairing the ship, they see the boys running off. Let the chase begin.
The chicks catch and imprison the boys in a cage.
Elsa and Akio’s mothers are finally starting to get worried. Reporters arrive and mention that a space ship was seen in the vicinity and begin
questioning Tomoko.
Back on Terra, the boys try to think of a way to escape. The best idea they came up with is to call for Gamera’s help.
In the lake, Gamera is still trapped on his back.
Tom uses his toy dart gun at the controls across the room and somehow free Guion.
The chicks get the ship repaired and will go Earth to escape Guiron.
Guiron attacks the spaceship. Flobella vaporizes the injured Barbella who broke their society’s biggest commandment by getting injured
and being a burden.
Guiron approaches the base the boys are imprisoned. They are crying for Gamera’s help.
Gamera is still unable to move.
As Guiron beats the ground; he causes enough ground quakes which knock Gamera right side up.
Giant-rocket-flying-turtle attack ensues. Kaiju battle on.

Eeeewwww, Kaiju foreplay.

Eeeewwww, Kaiju porn...
Guiron uses his projectile throwing stars again. Gymnastic Gamera ensues.
Deleted scene finally available in the special edition of the Gymkata DVD.
Gamera is knocked into the lake again. The boys are able to trap Guiron back in his pit.
Flobella heads back to the command center base to activate the last resort.
Gamera pulls some of the throwing stars out while still in the lake.
Guiron rips free of his pit.
The boys see a missile rise out of a silo.
Guiron dives into the lake to kill Gamera. Underwater battle ensues.
Flying out of the lake, Gamera is able to impale Guiron head first into the ground.
The missile launches and kills Flobella.
Gamera BBQs Guiron.
Tom and Akio see Gamera weld the ship together.
Gamera flies back to Earth with the saucer in his mouth.
Tomoko is still watching the sky.
Kondo calls the observatory. The astronomers spot Gamera carrying a spaceship in his mouth.
A crowd gathers. Reporters start to ridicule Tomoko’s story when the scientists arrive.
Gamera lands. Tom and Akio race out of the ship.
The boys’ mothers realize sometimes strange things are the truth.
The kids thank Gamera and hug their mothers.
Tom and Akio tell about the other planet. Akio thought there must be a better planet than Earth. However, we all need to work to
make Earth better…That must be the message of the movie as Gamera flies away.
