The commissioned officer dress uniform varies little through Starfleet, only the departmental bands around the wrists are different. Captains however have a white undershirt instead of the normal line officer grey undershirt. The trouser legs bear a gold line down their length.
Non-commissioned officer dress uniforms consist of a grey jacket and trousers that bear a grey line instead of the gold line
Ranks pips remain in the same place as on the normal duty uniform, on the right collar.
The new version of the dress uniform is a considerable deviation from the previous knee length tunic of the 2360's and early 2370's.
