If you have the time and energy, or have the opportunity to come back another time, a walk around
the Shell Cove side of Cremorne Point is also a delight.
Shell Cove is on the other side of Cremorne Point from Mosman Bay - it's the bay between Cremorne Point and Kurraba
Point. To get there, head left up the road from the ferry
wharf.
The path around Shell Cove is quite different in character from that around Mosman Bay, but is still a lovely walk,
mostly level on a well paved path, but steeper towards the northern end.
The reserve here slopes gently to the
water's edge at first, the shady expanses of lawn proving popular
for weekend family picnics.
The lack of bushland opens up fantastic
harbour vistas for walkers along the path, and it's easy to get down to
the water's edge to perch on a boulder or sprawl on the grass to relax
and take it all in.
On this side of Cremorne Point, you can
still see the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
