Spell Boxes

Boxes are one of the simplest and most basic of tools designed for positive uses.  Though the creation of the box is a type of magical art,  it's what we do with it that determines it's magical uses.    In ancient Egypt, ceremonial objects were kept in boxes known as menet, which were decorated with four ostrich feathers.  The Iroquois kept ritual regalia in boxes made of birch.   Many Renaissance spells instruct us to place certain objects into boxes.  And even today, hope chests are often filled with wishes for a happy marriage.

Spell boxes are curiously powerful things.   You place charged materials into them.  The box then mixes and merges these energies, but traps them within its confines.  Only when the lid is lifted can they escape and do their purposes. 

Examples:

Love Spell Box - Job Spell Box - Magic Money Box - Wish Box - Healing Box - Store your Tarot cards in a special spell box made just for that purpose.  With the cards, place herbs or stones that promote psychic awareness.   Feel free to create your own versions, using any materials you may have around your house to decorate the Spell Box.  Crystals, pictures, symbols, flowers, stones, coins, etc.

After placing the objects you wish to use into your spell box (coins, photos, herbs, stones,  etc.).  Hold the spell box in your hands. Send power into it, visualize it's purpose.  Set the box down onto your alter.  Now hold your palms downward over the filled box , and say these or similar words.

Powers and energies,

Mingle and merge.

Bring me the _____,

That I deserve.

Now place a candle in front of the spell box, close the lid.  Light the candle and burn before the spell box for 13 minutes.   Quench the flame.  Leave the box undisturbed for 24 hours.  The next night, burn the candle again for 13 minutes in front of the spell box.  On the third night, light the candle once again, saying these words:

Powers swirling in this box,

Fly away now, strong and free !

Bring to me the _____ I need!

This is my will, so mote it be!

Raise (or remove) the box's lid, releasing the energies that have grown within it.  Feel the power shooting forth from the box to bring your need into manifestation.  After a few moments, leave the area.   Let the candle burn for 13 minutes.  Snuff out the candle and take the box and bury the spell box's contents in the Earth.  It is done!
