Magical Oils

Scented oils have become an essential part of magic. Not until recently were the array of true botanical oils available for ritual purposes. Scented Oils were used in antiquity, and dates back thousands of years, and was a very time consuming process. We are lucky that we don't have to go through all that!

BLENDING OILS :You can blend many of your essential oils for different magical purposes. In a clean, sterilized glass jar, add 1/8 cup of one of the following vegetable oils: Safflower, Sunflower, Coconut, Apricot Kernal, Jojoba, Almond, Hazelnut, or Grapeseed. I have found that Jojoba works best because it isn't truly an oil, but a liquid form of wax, it never becomes rancid and can be kept for longer periods of time.

Using an eye dropper, add the essential oils in the proportions in the recipes that follow.

Swirl the essential oils into the base oil, don't stir. Gently rotate the oil clockwise.

Finally, store all oils away from heat, light and moisture (not in bathroom) in an airtight, opaque or dark-colored glass bottles

Label and keep for your magical purposes.

FAST MONEY OIL: 7 drops Patchouly, 5 drops Cedarwood, 4 drops Vetivert. Use this oil in your wallet or checkbook for fast results.

ALTER OIL: 4 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Myrrh, 1 drop Cedar. To promote more positive energy while working at your alter.

ANOINTING OIL: 5 drops Myrrh, 2 drops Cinnamon, 2 drops Ginger. Use for general ritual purposes.

BUSINESS SUCCESS OIL: 3 drops Bergamot Mint, 1 drop Basil, 1 drop Patchouly, 1 pinch Cinnamon. Place in cash register, wallet on business card or the front door of your business to increase cash flow.

HEALING OIL: 4 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Juniper, 1 drop Sandlewood. Wear to speed healing.

LOVE OIL: 7 drops Palmarosa 5 drops Ylang-Ylang 1 drop Ginger 2 drops Rosemary 1 drop Cardamon. Wear to draw love. Anoint pink candles and burn while visualizing.

MOON OIL : 1 drop Jasmine, 1 drop Sandlewood. Use whenever you are doing moon rituals.

PEACE OIL: 3 drops Ylang-Ylang, 3 drops Lavender, 2 drops Camomile. Wear when nervous or upset to calm you down. Stand in front of a mirror, and while looking into your eyes, anoint your body.

POWER OIL: 4 drops Orange, 1 drop Ginger, 1 drop Pine. To increase your power during ritual anoint yourself.

PSYCHIC OIL: 5 drops Lemongrass, 1 drop Yarrow. Wear to increase psychic powers, especially when working with crystals and runes.

PURIFICATION OIL: 4 drops Frankincense, 3 drops Myrrh, 1 drop Sandlewood. Wear to get rid of negativity.

VISIONS OIL: 4 drops Lemongrass, 2 drops Bay, 1 drop Nutmeg. Anoint your forehead to produce psychic awareness.
