The key to a successful magician is all in a name. This is based on the concept that a new name symbolizes the person's new magical identity. It is also a way of celebrating their entrance into the art or group.
It also subtly changes the person, shifting his or her consciousness to a more magical alignment Once a magical name has been selected it becomes a powerful and direct connection with the persons magical practices.
You should not reveal your magical name to non-practitoners. A "public" name can be adopted and shared. A magic name should be consistant with the personality of the person using it.
