The home is a sacred haven. The colors in a home can subconsciously help keep the body, mind, and spirit working together in harmony. Here are some colors that may be used around the house.
RED:A favorite color of faeries, red is a good highlight for any room where energy, strength, courage, and improved vitality are needed. Red flowers by the bed of an ill person is a working example. Because red is a potent color, tone it down for accents in a child's room or anywhere you do not want explosive vigor.
Pale reds and pinks move into the symbolic realms of love, friendship, and amusement. These tones add lovely ambiance to a family room like the pale red tones of a warm fire.
PURPLE:Ancient mysteries are implied by purple, it's the perfect color for an alter. It might be chosen for divination or spiritual reading room.
YELLOW:It has the attributes of mind, creativity, faith, and airiness; yellow is a wonderful choice for Spring curtains to inspire revitalization of energies. It is appropriate in children's rooms, and in the bedroom for fertility.
For artistic projects, have a yellow candle burning nearby or a fresh vase of golden flowers. During ritual, wear yellow robes anytime your beliefs need strengthening.
GREEN:This color is used for prosperity, growth, healing and transformation. It is a color no home should be without. Potted plants are one option. Pale mint green in a baby's room will encourage healthy growth and is a very peaceful color. Green is a good color to use where you balance your checkbook or do any type of restful meditations.
BLUE:Peace, joy, wisdom, tranquility, and dreams are all indicated with blue. It's a beautiful color for a bedroom ceiling. Many ancient cultures regarded blue as protective, so add sapphire accents to areas which feel spiritually open. A sanctuary or retreat, painted blue will help encourage inner peace.
WHITE:Is a universal color of protection, purity and beginnings. Increase the abundance of this color in any area which has lingering negativity.
