The Harvey Family was set up in Ireland by Ambrose (born ca 1625), known as "the
elder of Bridge of Bargy", the name of the townland in Co Wexford, Ireland and on
which the castle of that name was built. By his wife, he had a son Ambrose (born ca
1655) who married in 1677, Susanna, daughter of Samuel Cambey. Their son

William Harvey (born 1682) married Susanna (born ca 1688), 5th daughter of John
Harvey of Killiane Castle, Co Wexford and Member of Parliament for Wexford 1695.
Whether the two families are related I have not yet discovered. Of their seven children,

Elizabeth (probably born about 1709), married around the year 1733, John Boxwell of
Lingstown Castle, Co Wexford.

The Harvey and Boxwell families were very close and married cousins.

It is from the marriage of Elizabeth and John Boxwell that I am descended.
