The Rose Family is headed by Thomas (born about 1615) who came to Ireland from Co Devon, in South West England, and settled in Co Limerick. He was elected Sheriff of Limerick 1674, and Mayor of Limerick in 1695 and was attained by King James 1689. He was seised of the lands of Morgans in Co Limerick and others (in Cos. Limerick, Tipperary and Clare). He married and had a son George, of Morgans and Mount Prospect in Co Limerick. |

George was born about 1640, married in about 1664 and had three sons and a daughter Millicent (born about 1670) who married George Studdert. |
|
Henry (born about 1665), a brother of Millicent, was the 3rd Justice of the King's Bench. His Will was dated 13 July 1740 and proved 25 Feb 1742. |
