Recently, a great rider named Joe Tiseo died. From what I hear, he was a great guy. There will be aJoe Tiseo Memorial Jam at Hackettstown skatepark, Hackettstown NJ. It's October 21, get as many people as you can to go. RIP Joe.
While on the subject of loss, I just want to say that we have a long way to go with the whole Islamic deal. RIP, all who died in the terrorist attacks, you will not be forgotten. Anyway, I finished the box and made another kicker, building ramps is just half the fun. It's a good source of satisfaction too. Later people.
8/21/01- I made a kicker and I'm working on a grind box. I rode in my skatepark and it makes me happy that I have the facilities like that nearby. I made guards for my chainstays because I'm tired of dents and scratches(pics coming soon). X Games-In street, crisman won and Mirra spent more time off his bike than on. X games dirt was really good. A no handed superman from Lavin, doubleflip and backflip nohander turndown by Stephen Murray, and nyquist did a 360 flip. Murray got a well deserved first, and niguist and lavin in second and third. This was the first time that the xgames were judged fairly in my opinion. Downhill BMX will be very fun to watch, unlike normal racing. I was really hoping for Travis Pastrami to do a flip in MX but he did well anyway.Flatland will be pretty mindblowing but will lack adequate coverage (but at least it will get more coverage than fruitbooting). And as I said before, vert will rule. Booyah.
8/03/01- Time flies. This site has been up for a year now and it feels like I started it yesterday. sigh. Anyway, I saw my local skatepark finally and I was very impressed. It was very well made and concrete. I won't comment on the comments made by the announcer of the Perris DK Dirt Circit. If you saw it u either were angered or laughing then angered later on. The X-games are coming up pretty soon and I have a few predictions: Lotsa flairs and tailwhips, Edwardo Terrerros will not disappoint, double backflip on dirt, a backflip in MX, and a mass murder of all the rollerbladers. I'm pissed that I can't ride because I have a splinter lodged deep in my left heel. Before my "temporary career ending" injury, I learned crooked grinds. Look Ma, no hands!
7/16/01- The skatpark wasn't that great. I did a 900rock walk but that was the extent of the action. I hope to have previews on Mirra and Hoffman's second games for the playstation 2 by the end of the day.
7/13/01- Updated the part reviews. I'm going to a brand new skatepark today and I'll tell y'all what happened later. Vote in the new poll.
7/08/01- In the Carlyle DK dirt cicit, Mark Kehl went for a 720 and bailed. The announcer said this: "Looks like Mark Kehl ripped his pants there! I hope those weren't his school trousers!" Chris Doyle did a pendulum over the last set. The announcer said this: "Chris Doyle gives some action to each side! To the right, to the left! He lets everybody get a piece of it! A little here, a little there!" This announcer could've seemed like he was on crack even if he was calling a wrestling match. With all the money being socked into bmx these days, couldn't they get a better announcer? You might think I'm bitching, so see for yourself on tues. July 10 at 3pm. One more thing on the mat hoffman game: it has some really good footage of riders and some classic footage of mat. It was funny in the bails sequence because almost every shot was of dennis mccoy. 7/06/01- Finally, the mayhem in moving is over. I said good bye to jersey and moved up to the boonies. I went to a skatepark, the riding scene here is pretty good, even better than jersey. It's just that everything is farther away from each other. I'm getting my own digital camera soon so pictures of me up here will come plentifully. I got my own trails going and the weather up here is PERFECT. I don't think I'll be updating this page much anymore, any updates will be on the above page. I finall got mat hoffman's pro bmx and I was right about it being the best game for bmx out there. I'ts like tony hawk 1 with manuals and nose wheelies and park builder. It's not as smooth as tony hawk 2 but its a hell of alot better than some of the other shit games out there. I already saw a preview of mat hoffman2 and it looks even better than the current one and seems to concentrate more on street.. It's in the previews section of the options menu. It has the graphics found in tony hawk 3 so that should be interesting. I don't know why but the game makers forgot to put wallrides into the game, the game would have been more fun. As far as secrets go, tony hawk himself (oohhh) makes a guest appearance, unlock an old woman named granny, and two old levels from tony hawk 1 are also attainable. I beat the game in two days. yepyep. Back in reality, I just learned 360 bunnyhops. Later, but sooner than last time.
