Part 1 - A client of ours, who is a very frequent traveler with a very large account, confessed to me how he avoids using a skycap or having to drag his bags through the airport. Before parking his car in the lot, he stops his car on the check in level at the airport and runs inside to check in. He leaves the car running so that the police think that he just stepped away for a second to help someone in. Unfortunately, one time he had forgotten that his car was running outside until after he was in the middle of his flight.

Part 2 - The same client, I kid you not, called me a few months later. This time he called me with an unusual problem. He had received a parking ticket with his rental car at the lower level baggage area of his arriving airport. He said that the time on his parking ticket was before the time his rental receipt said he picked up the car. He swore that he was never at the baggage area, and that he left the airport right away to go to his hotel. I called his hotel and had them check their records, and sure enough, he checked into the hotel five minutes after the time he supposedly picked up the car. The hotel is at least a 25-minute drive. Obviously the car rental counter had written the wrong time, and it was obvious what he had done!
