Changes to Nexus February 16, 2001
By: Mystery
Icsmith, over at Gameznet scooped an update from Nexon, publishers of Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds:

Nexon's game Nexus: Kingdom of the Winds encourages further, deeper interaction between the players and the environment around them, more than ever before! Players are able to name the plants and wildlife around them with their own unique names, and give them distinctive properties. As a recent and significant example, on Wednesday, a large player-sponsored update to plant and animal life changed the nature of the game and nature IN the game...

This current addition was enabled by the game's properties system that allows players to communicate desired changes to the Nexus: TK team. Expanding further on this, players are able to not suggest names for the items, but the objects they name can become items that players can collect and use for a wide variety of uses -- such as to give to a fellow game player on a birthday, or a special someone on an anniversary. Experience the ever-changing world that you can effect by taking advantage of the extended trial period offered by Nexus: Kingdom of the Winds, by going to http://www.nexustk.com. We hope to see you there, where you can now make a difference in the world around you!

Dave Kennerly Interview February 14, 2001
By: Mystery
Dave Kennerly, Game Designer for Nexon (publisher of, among other things: Kingdom of the Winds, Dark Ages, Shattered Galaxies, and Elemental Saga), sat down with RPG Vault yesterday to answer some general questions about Online Worlds. Dave brings some interesting things to light, as Nexon is a Korean company duking it out in an NA dominated field. You can read the full interview here.
