With his inside track, Freelancer will probably be playing the game long before the rest of us. Here are the 2 new screens that he posted yesterday:

Paradox dropped a nice load of Screenshots over on MS Xbox the other day. Of the 8 Screenshots provided, we've seen nearly half already on other sites, but the new ones more than make up for the difference.

These screenshot days all seem to come in groups, don't they?

Round, round, get around... February 08, 2001
By: Mystery
Christofer Sundberg really gets around. This time, he's talking with Yurg, over at Freelancer. Here's a sample of the dialog:

[Yurg]: Christofer, tell about weaponry. What 'hell machines' will the army be armed with and will that be possible for gamer to equip the 'models'?

[Christofer]: Weapons? You name it, we got it! You will play with everything from chains, claws and magic to revolvers, machine guns, chainsaws and flamethrowers. You cannot equip your troops though, more than with grenades and mines of different kinds. Every troop has a function in the game and when composing your force according to the mission you have chosen to play, your army will be your resources to manage. Your skill in choosing the right troop for the right mission will be essential for your success.

Christofer Sundberg Interview February 06, 2001

JoyGamer (Warning: Swedish site) sat down with Swedish developer Christofer Sundberg to talk about his part in the Paradox Entertainment MM title Warzone Online:

Q: Can you SHORTLY summarize Warzone Online?
A: Warzone Online is a tactical action game where the player chooses one of six armies to fight with. From these armies the player has a certain number of soldiers and vehicles to choose his troops from. Depending on the nature of the mission, the environment of the warzone, the time of day (in the warzone) and other factors the player must select an able force.

The game itself is very fast and even if its still a strategic game it contains very fast (and fierce) battles that we up to now have only seen in first person shooters.

More drool material here.
