Wow, this is the second night in a row that I will be seeing peaks of sunlight. Thursday we all went to the Haunt, a club by the lake, and danced to local hip hop groups. Drama ensued, but it always does. With Dave home for the weekend its been quiet in the room. Fri night I chilled with two of the RA's from the building, watched some movies. Tonight no one was really around. I cleaned up and rearranged my bed setup here in the room. Then I toasted the birthday of one of the girls that lives next door. TOMBRAIDER was the movie of choice tonight, not bad, not bad.

Today was actually a productive day. I spent five hours in the photo lab finishing up some portrait work for my high school band director. Tomorrow after a noon brunch, I plan on just working until I am tired and letting my body take over. Hmm, I am bored, I think I will wander the building, theres no more fun here milling about. Goodnight.

This week has been really cool so far. I went to my monday painting class even though the professor was stuck in Ithaca due to the closing of the main road 96B. I have "good control of colour, and understanding of tone," but my "range of lights and darks could be more." BULLSHIT. I am a cinema major, I know light, I LIVE LIGHT! hoo sorry~

The weather has been really crappy lately. Today it was real fair, and warm. But all the snow sunday and monday caused much confusion, check out the dillweed that got stuck in the driveway next to the building up from mine~

Tuesday I watched my 16mm in class, which was almost orgasmic. I mean don't get me wrong, but blood sweat and tears projected on screen in a flickering black and white glory.... uuuuuhhhhh! I also got my character tree assignment in screenwriting. I started that night and finished four pages already. I am pumped, I bet I will have ten pages by the weekend of my own character. Today I sat throught a screening of COOLEY HIGH for the same class. We are diving into that script tomorrow. After the gym and the photo lab that is.

The rest of the week is as follows: I was going to go to the movies tomorrow night, but that fell through, unfortunately, and friday will be my relax day. Hopefully Saturday will be a go out day. Sunday, work day - simple as that.

I am just getting in from an anti-Valentine's Party. It was great. Pong with my manager from work, 'shhing' every one of the 25 people packed into the room. I even got to talk about my screenwriting prof with kids who already had him~.

I had a good start to the weekend, yes start. I have so much shit to do. Lets see how much actually gets done. But seriously, schoolwork, and etc is a priority~

Right now I am going to bed, I slipped on some ice on the walk back - I bruised my elbow kinda and ripped my pants a bit, oh well. All is fair in love and war (it is valentines day you know)

Happy Birthday indeed. Friday was quite honestly the best birthday of my teenage years. I got a barrage of gifts from my friends in the building late Thursday night, then Friday I got to relax with no classes. And Erica wanted me to let everyone know she was the first to wish me one, at exactly midnight on Thurs. Later Friday night after my day, I can't find anyone. So I venture to the 1st floor lounge - low and behold, everyone was in there with cake and music and balloons. Truly a surprise, thanks guys, all of you.

Saturday we ventured to the mall, I exchanged the fullscreen BACK TO THE FUTURE dvd set, for the widescreen version (I LIVE my life in letterbox) Then we all chilled. Dave and Brian wanted to find a party in the on-campus apartments, but I opted out. Glady so. The returned not 20 minutes later.... I win. By then I was 2/3's the way through the BTTF trilogy. So we watched the third dvd, then put in BOILER ROOM, then watched two episodes of FULL HOUSE. Oh God! Then it was 5:30 AM..... damn you.... rock and roll lifestyle...

Tonight I am going to stick with the theme of the day and just loaf until bed time. I have regular classes this week, nothing too exciting. I will get my film back soon, so, that'll be cool. Hey, I may even get a visit from my friend from Buffalo, Josh, this next weekend. I will do my best to update more these next few weeks. I checked the stats, and this site gets at least three hits a day, with a max of 13. Thats regardless if I update or not!! YOU LOVE ME, YOU REALLY LOVE ME!!!

I have been meaning to update, but have been so busy lately. I will start with the weekend - Saturday Dave had his friends from home that go here come over. It was a cool beginning to the eve. Dave's "girl" came over too, and had her best friend from home come with her too. Yadda yadda yadda, I have a fantastic weekend. I was in a good mood the whole week too. My screenwriting class is doing ALL this TWILIGHT ZONE stuff, thank you Rod Serling. Cineprod is throwing us into the 16mm realm. Spring semester? I win.

Today I started to shoot my first film. Loading a real camera, and shooting with lights, and taking all these measurements. I am in heaven. Today the videographer emerges from his cocoon as a film-maker, appropriate for the date eh? It took me 19 years to get to where I am. I wouldn't have had it any other way. The film is a two minute b/w silent film. A girl hears a knock at the door of her room, but no one is there. She hears another knock and finds that someone is going down the stairwell. She follows and eventually catches up. Upon grabbing the girl's shoulder, the narrator sees that is her, but pregnant. The final shot is the narrator crying alone by herself. Sad, Dramatic, But damn effective. Well, i'll be the judge of that after I get my grade.

Tonight I am going to shoot the rest if my film, get a bite to eat, and have a birthday toast before I go to bed. I hope to not do so much tonight. Its been a long day, fulfilling though. Have yourself a great end of the week, you know that I will :-D
