1997 TCRA Board Meeting The meeting was held at Spencer Canoe
Livery 1. Lee Deviney called the meeting to order. Old Business: 1. It was brought up that there were not enough women's classes in the Unlimited State Race. 2. Lillie Cohran was elected as the board alternate to replace Tom Sebring. 3. Sam made a motion to pay $150 to the Water Safari for last year. This motion passed. 4. Sam made a motion to pay $150 to the Water Safari
for this year. This motion passed. New Business: 1. Bob Spain announced the USCA Nationals in Niles Michigan August 12-17 1997. 2. Sam made a motion to put a warning sign at Ottine Dam. Lee is to write a letter to the River Authority and land owner. This motion passed. 3. The state race date changed to Oct. 4-5 but then was changed by phone to Sept. 27-28 due to a conflict with the Come & Take It race. 4. Kevin was given the ok to but trophies that would be needed in addition to the recycled ones. 5. Lee made a motion to buy a variety of different size T- shirts. This motion passed. 6. It was decided that members will not be given a discount for the 2-3 year renewal option. 7. Advertising rate for businesses will be $15.00 per 2 page. 8. The meeting was adjourned. |
