GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

Benjamin Franklin: "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a  little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
(You might do well to remember this as Governments [particularly Canada's] pass more laws to curtail more freedoms, in the name of anti terrorism)

Sign the OnLine Petition
To: Canadian taxpayers: We the canadian taxpayers are asking the Auditor Generals office to audit the Justice dept. for the wasteful spending of our dollars on C-68 (the firearms bill) which is now at a all-time high of $685 million since 1995. With healthcare and education in such bad shape the money could be spent in such better ways. Please sign the petition and join me in asking the Auditor General to examine this gross waste of money. The petition will be sent to the Canadian taxpayers federation. Thanks!

'Taliban of Iran' uses Canadian Web host
"We are no longer shocked at this kind of discovery," said Frank Dimant, executive vice-president of  B'nai Brith Canada. "Regrettably, terrorists feel that it is correct to operate in Canada and until such time as our government demonstrates a total resolve that it will not deal with terrorist-sponsored groups, there will be a feeling that it is OK to operate within the borders of Canada."(The Liberals have shown ALL Canadians, that spending close to a Billion Dollars harassing the countries duck hunters is more worthwhile than spending the same amount to curtail terrorist, which are probably in fact Liberal Voters.. Hunters, and REAL patriots Don't Vote Liberal!)
700 National Guard Troops, Minus Guns, Will Bolster Security at Canadian Border
Under a temporary six-month assignment, the troops are expected to provide support for border forces in air operations, cargo inspections, traffic management, pedestrian control and administrative servicesin an effort to head off terrorist threats. Canada has been home to several Islamic terrorist cells dating back to at least the mid-1990s, with an Al Qaeda-trained terrorist from Montreal stopped north of  Seattle in 1999 before he could carry out a plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport. United States does not want to "militarize" the border. "Our friends in Canada are appropriately sensitive that we don't signal that we are somehow
arming the border," he said.(ARM THEM! It might be just the embarrassment the Liberals need for allowing anyone parroting the magic words "I Am A Refugee" free to run loose in Canada, endangering not only Americans, but Canadians as well)
Firearms Registry has backfired on government(Canoe)
OTTAWA (CP) -- Opposition critics say statistics continue to show the gun registry is not working and the percentage of violent crimes involving firearms has actually increased since Ottawa passed its gun control laws.  The Progressive Conservative Democratic Representative Coalition said Wednesday that Statistics Canada figures show the percentage of  attempted murders that involved a firearm increased from 31 per cent in  1995 to 37 per cent in 2000 -- a jump of 20 per cent.(Criminals are enjoying the Great Benefits of the Firearms Act. The more people the Government disarms, the safer and easier their task of robbing/killing/Raping  you becomes)
ERRORS, ERRORS AND MORE ERRORS
“The old gun registry was riddled with errors and so is the new one.”
NOTE: All errors in firearms licences and registration certificates should be reported to the Minister of Justice and the Auditor General of Canada.  All errors that either violate your privacy rights or have the potential to do so should be reported to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Contact information is provided at the end of this document. (This entire system is so riddled with errors, that YOU could find yourself in jail!! Feel safer because of the Firearms Act? I didn't think so.. PRINT THIS OUT, AND PIN IT TO YOUR GUNCLUB WALL)
GUN REGISTRY A SEVEN HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR GARBAGE COLLECTION SYSTEM
Ottawa – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, released a summary of recent bureaucratic blunders in the government’s $700 million gun registry called: ERRORS, ERRORS AND MORE ERRORS.  On February 7, 2001, the Edmonton Sun reported: Canadian Police Association president Const. Grant Obst said yesterday a lot of Canadian cops who believe in the “concept” of a gun registry have profound doubts that the one being run by CFC [Canadian Firearms Centre] will ever offer police the information they need to fight crime.  “They’re not happy with the information-gathering,” he said.  “They’re asking themselves, will the information be accurate.”  Breitkreuz’s paper has answered Const. Obst’s question, “If the information in the registry isn’t accurate what possible use can the registry be to police?” (Maybe NOW the police association will listen to firearm organizations, because EVERYTHING they were warned about has come true)
WHO IS RIGHT – THE CANADIAN FIREARMS CENTRE OR THE RCMP?
REGISTRY SAYS:Firearms Known to Police = 2,016,000
RCMP SAYS:As of November 22, 2001 there were a total of 1,431,731 distinct firearms registered since December 1998.”
If they are both right, where did 584,269 registered guns go between March 10, 2001 and November 22,
2001?(Well, I'm sure their both right, because NO ONE knows what the hell is going on for sure)
Doomsday Clock to be reset

The clock at the University of Chicago was started at 11:53 p.m. in 1947, two  years after the bulletin began as a newsletter among scientists of the Manhattan Project — the top-secret U.S effort during the Second World War to develop an atomic bomb. Since then the clock has moved to within two minutes of midnight and as far  away as 17 minutes.
Attempted firebombing of the home of an off-duty city police officer.
The ex-president of the Hells Angels' Calgary chapter was found guilty  of two counts of counselling mischief and two counts of common assault in a 1999 plot to bomb the homes of an alderman and a community activist who had worked to have the gang's Calgary clubhouse demolished in June 1998.  There is also concern that the gangs have infiltrated law enforcement agencies. "I think they've become very good at it, whether through girlfriends or associates," says RCMP Insp. Garry Clement, of the  force's proceeds-of-crime unit in the Ottawa region. (Still believe Ottawa when they tell you your firearms information will be safe in 'Their' hands, and they still want to turn this data over to a private company? Registered firearms? Watch for 'your' home invasion soon!)
In London's UnArmed Society, Murder rate hits almost one a day
In recent years, the annual number of murders in London has ranged between 150 to 200. Last year there were 191 homicides - including murders and manslaughter. If the present rate keeps up, police fear the total could reach 280 or even 300. Meanwhile, the murder rate in New York, with its "zero tolerance" policy, has reached a record low, it was reported today, with 62 recorded killings this year - compared to 100 in the same period last year and more than 300 in the early Nineties. (You may own a gun in New York City, but cannot have it, or discharge it outside your residence or place of business.. In Other words, MOST shop and home owners are armed, and will not hesitate to shoot an armed intruder. This, along with more police on the street, has had a positive effect. The Canadian government has taken a billion dollars that 'could' have been used to fight crime and hire police, but spent it to create another, largely unarmed society, and subsequent increase in crime involving criminals and their guns which of course, are NOT controlled)
ATF Interpretation Puts Canadian Gun Owners 'Through Hoops'
Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - In response to the terrorist attacks oof Sept. 11, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) is changing its interpretation of a 1999 law meant to exclude non-immigrant aliens from importing firearms into the United States. As a result, law-abiding Canadian gun owners are paying the price.(As long as Canada allows 'immigrants' free access with the magic words "I am A Refugee", Expect the U.S. to 'rightfully' take defensive action against anyone regarding firearms importation)
The C.F.C. web Page on How to Avoid the Ten Most Common Errors in Filling out your 'Liberal' Firearms Licence Application, Only Goes to 4 (?)
(Another 'slightly' off count! Are you surprised? I didn't think so!)
Unarmed U.K. Family 'gunned down' on their own property
A MILLIONAIRE businessman wept in court yesterday as he told a jury how a  robber shot his wife and snatched a Rolex watch from her wrist as she lay dying on the ground.  Giuseppe Martorana broke down as he described how the man also shot his teenage son and his son’s girlfriend during the attack outside the family home in Hertfordshire. (Gun control 'again' assuring that only the criminal is armed.)
The death of Taylor Coles must galvanize us to enact better gun laws (????) Oh ya that'll work!!
Although a month has passed, the grievous calamity that occurred in one of our  neighborhoods remains. Youthful Taylor Coles, a girl who had barely enjoyed eight years of life, was murdered Jan. 25. You will recall that she and her father, Parish L. Freeman, also slain, were innocent bystanders at a Homewood sandwich shop when three masked gunmen sprayed a hail of bullets intended  for Thomas H. Mitchell III. His killing is believed to have been drug-related. (Oh I see!! These drug dealing criminals (also mostly classed as 'children' by the gun control groups) already broke a multitude of  laws in the commission of this crime, and the only thing standing in the way of preventing this tragedy was the lack of  'more' gun laws.. Do they even realize how naively stupid this sounds? Enforcing the Laws already on the books just 'might' make more sense)
Finger Lickin Good Defence
A ROBBER who tried to hold up a take-away restaurant at gunpoint fled empty handed when staff pelted him with chicken drumsticks.  The would-be thief pulled a silver handgun on staff at Della’s Chicken takeaway in St Leonards, East Sussex, and demanded they empty the till.  But staff ignored the gun and chased him out of the shop and along the road after pelting him with deep-fried chicken pieces. (Now in Canada, kids have been expelled from school for using 'chicken parts' as imitation weapons)
Is Finger Print Evidence based on "Junk Science"
Defense attorneys say, however, that the "junk science" embodied by some of the tests is responsible for numerous wrongful convictions. In 25 of the first 82 cases in which a convict was exonerated by DNA evidence, "faulty or fraudulent" testing was used to help secure the conviction, says Barry Scheck, co-founder of the Innocence Project, a New York City  advocacy group. The Justice Department argues that Pollak's ruling could be extended to other "pattern recognition" tests, such as firearms testing, with disastrous results.(Watch for MORE criminals, to be released in a city near YOU)
Gun Control: Japan Style..
TOKYO (Reuters) - An injured Japanese gangster has been shot dead by an unidentified attacker as he lay in bed at a Tokyo hospital while police stood guard nearby. Attacks involving firearms are rare in Japan due to strict gun control laws and almost always involve crime syndicates. (Gee who would have thought, that strict gun control, would mean shootings "Almost always involve crime syndicates", You mean the 'criminals STILL have guns? How can that be? Gun control is supposed = crime control isn't it? I guess the Liberals are naive enough to believe that equation only works in Canada?)
Gun Free SA holding up act
GUN Free SA's Adele Kirsten (Letters, February 19), is one person who should  know why government is taking so long to implement the Firearms Control Act.  The simple reason is because it is so full of ideological requirements at the urging  of Gun Free SA and aligned organisations, that are near to impossible or extremely expensive to implement. (The Wendy Cukier of Africa, can't wait to see a billion wasted dollars. Remember, the S.A. gun control Scheme is based on the Canadian 'Success', and 'Peacekeeper Jean' (The Canadian inaction figure) is on his way there, to offer his 'expertise')
SWF votes down 'civil disobedience'
A third resolution about Bill C-68 was passed. It called for an audit of the money spent by Ottawa on gun control. "It's asking the federal government to be accountable," said Scott. "It's  nothing illegal, just asking for facts and good government to be based on facts and correct information." Scott wasn't surprised by any of the voting outcomes, especially the request  for civil disobedience. "We're not a militant group and we're not about to openly flop the law," he said. However, he suggests there will be many new criminals in Canada next year when a majority of gun owners don't register their firearms.  He blames the government for putting the public between a rock and a hard place with gun control legislation.(Register What Guns?)
The "Culture of Safety" Continues in Toronto
Police responded to the call  and located the shooter in the area. As the officers were investigating, the suspect  attempted to flee. The officers gave chase on foot and captured him a short  distance away just as he was removing a loaded .25 calibre handgun from his waistband.  The suspect has an outstanding probation order and a lifetime firearms prohibition order preventing him from legally possessing any firearms. (This poor sole, obviously missed the part of  the F.A. that 'bans' .25 cal handguns, and seeing he had a 'ban' from "Legally" possessing firearms, he did what most criminals do.. "HE IGNORED THE LAW" What part of this, does the C.F.C. and the Justice Dept. NOT understand? I'm sure EVERY law abiding firearms owner could point out the flaws in their thinking. But then again, this stupid 'Billion Dollar gun control farce' ONLY controls the law abiding. )
Group struggles to attract youth to outdoor pursuits
The Saskatoon Wildlife Federation (SWF) is suffering from a drastic decline in  membership, which has sunk to a 25-year low and has left the association with a significant debt. Bill C-68, the federal government's new Firearms Act, is also a huge impediment. It requires all firearms to be registered possessions and acquisition licenses) and gun-owners to take the federal firearm safety course. The hassle is repelling new hunters and driving away current ones, said Scott. (The city yuppie cry of 'ban hunting, save the cute little animals' may very well be the major cause of  dwindling wildlife habitat, and resources. If left up to 'them' most of the previously endangered species in Canada, would now be extinct. Overheard Quote: "If  left alone, all the Turkeys would have eventually come back to the wilds themselves"... Unfortunately, if  "left alone" they would only have only of come back to the major cities they now populate.)
Tony Clement: let's take the politics out of resource management policy
KINGSTON, Feb. 23 /CNW/ - Tony Clement today vowed to create an Ontario Fish and Wildlife Commission - an arm's length body with real clout to take the politics out of resource management decision-making. Speaking at the 74th Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH), Clement said friction over the cancellation of Ontario's spring bear hunt has demonstrated the need for a new approach to managing resource management issues. While addressing the OFAH meeting, Clement also committed to:
    -   passage of Hunting Heritage legislation to provide a framework for decisions related to hunting; -   restored funding for the Community Wildlife Improvement Program and the Community Fishery Improvement Program, and;  -   renewed opposition to the federal firearms registration scheme, which penalizes hunters when it should deter criminals. (In a recent survey, politicians received a 18% 'level of trust' rating. Used car salesmen received a 23% level of trust rating... I rest my case)
Another "Study" funded by Gun Control Groups
Kelly Whitley,  an NRA spokeswoman."But, as always, we are skeptical about any study funded by numerous advocates of gun control. Having not seen the data, we don't know whether Harvard's proxy measure of gun ownership is reliable for a study of this kind," she said."But, one might be suspicious of a national study that ignored 40 of 50 states as the press release suggests," said Whitley."NRA tends to trust data on this issue from a more  reliable source such as the National Center for Health Statistics. Their data shows that accidental firearm deaths, especially among children, have been declining since the 1930s  and are currently at an all-time low while the U.S. population has doubled and the number of firearms owned has quadrupled," (Every study (to Date) put forward, or funded by Gun Control Groups, has been  full of holes, half truths, and downright lies. The 3 levels of bullshit flowing from the C.F.C. is a good example. The Bullshit they feed the media, the bullshit they feed parliament, and the bullshit they feed themselves in order to keep this wasteful farce going)
Gun Control Activists Picket H&R Block
WASHINGTON, Feb 23, 2002 (U.S. Newswire via COMTEX) -- A new marketing  agreement between H&R Block and the National Rifle Association (NRA) was the subject of a protest this afternoon, organized by Alliance for Justice. According to the NRA Web site, when an NRA member has his or her taxes done at H&R Block, the gun lobby will receive a donation -- a payment that drew criticism from gun control advocates. "Consumers have a right to know that H&R Block is funding the gun lobby," said Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron.("Gun Lobby" is not a 'Dirty Word', and more power to H&R Block for their stand. The "Gun Control Lobby" 'should' be referred to as "NO Rights Lobby" (Both Actually, and politically). It's unfortunate, that Canadians do not have the same type of 'rights' Americans do.. Here, Your 'Rights' are granted on the level of  Political Benefit the 'ruling' party may glean before 'granting' them. )
Canada's beleaguered gun registry will be privately managed(Report Mag.)
Since the Liberal government began its new gun-control program, those Canadian firearms owners willing to comply with the law have been left struggling to keep up with constantly changing deadlines and fees. The only thing that has remained consistent is how expensive the program is. To date, it has cost $685 million, and only $44 million has been recovered through licensing fees. Last month, it came under fire yet again, as the public learned the government is taking bids from private companies for the operation of gun-licensing and registration.( The RCMP Computers have been  illegally breached 156 times, how safe do you think your home will be from invasion/burglary with your firearms information in a private companies database? "The Culture of Criminal Safety" Continues.)
Defence freeloading imperils sovereignty
To want a well-equipped military is not to be a warmonger or to be trapped in a 1939 mindset, as the Prime Minister appears to believe. The key fact of life is that we do not know what the next five, 10 or 50 years will hold for us. We cannot know what kinds of conflicts we might have to face and, indeed, we never have. In 1914, who imagined a war of attrition fought in trenches from Switzerland to the North Sea? In 1939, who envisaged blitzkrieg? Who, in early 1990, anticipated a huge coalition would fight an  air and armoured war against Iraq? Who, on Sept. 10, 2001, believed Canada today would have troops in Afghanistan helping to winkle al-Qaeda out of the caves? (Parenthetically, who could believe that, once having begged the United States to let us into the Afghan War, Canadians would then tell the Americans how to run their operations?)(This is precisely why the disarming of Law Abiding citizens by the Liberal Party, will NEVER succeed. They have disarmed and embarrassed our military, we have NO Militia to speak of. If it were not for the Americans, our country would be, for all intents and purposes, defenceless. Spending A Billion Dollars to disarm our country from with-in, seems to point to a far more despicable "Secret Agenda"  than the smoke screen spread by the Liberals over the Alliance in the last election. Trust The Liberals?  When Pigs Fly!)
Teen's killer given eight-year sentence
A 22-year-old Toronto man was sent to prison for eight years after pleading guilty to stabbing a teenager to death during a drug deal two years ago behind an Etobicoke apartment building.(Well, it would seem a teenagers life is worth only 8 years to the Canadian Justice system. This Murderer will be back on the street in 5 years, by that time, many more 'Law Abiding' Citizens will be disarmed by our government. Feel better about  this "Culture of Safety"? I didn't think so!)
The media that couldn't (or WON'T) shoot straight
As to the media coverage of this shooting, "More Guns, Less Crime" author John Lott notes that out of 280 news stories, only four mentioned the hero student's use of his gun to subdue the attacker. "Unfortunately," said Lott, "the coverage in this case was not unusual. In the other public school shootings where citizens with guns have stopped  attacks, rarely do more than 1 percent of the news stories mention that citizens with guns stopped the attacks." (A news paper, 'Bending' the TRUTH is exactly the same as Lying and they do it 60,000 times a year in Canada. That's why you virtually NEVER hear about the defensive use of firearms in the media. Here's the report from CNN 'world' news..Which 'omits' the truth)
Changes at the NFA?
Calgary -- National Firearms Association president Jim Hinter and its magazine editor Peter Cronhelm have been ousted from their positions, the gun lobby group confirmed yesterday. A spokesman wouldn't discuss the reasons for the changes, but said an election would be held within three months to choose a new executive. (Unfortunatly I had to get this information from the 'left' wing Globe. There have been no bulletins issued by the NFA as yet.)
Warm weather means Prairie gopher derby
The 2002 Ken Turcot Memorial Gopher Derby kicks off April 1 and entrants  who pay $20 have the chance to win a percentage of total pool money. All they have to do is kill the most gophers over the two months of spring and send the frozen tails, in batches of 10, to the Wildlife Federation for an official count.(To the bleeding hearts that find this practice 'barbaric'! Think of Gophers, as RATS of the fields, taking food from your children's plates.. Shooting is much more humane than the trapping or poisoning you would do to RATS. And for the demented few who would suggest Trapping and 'relocation' I'm sure western farmers would be more than happy to deliver several hundred thousand to your neighbourhood...Until then! Have a nice time in Disney Land)
How Many Gun Licences Have Been Issued?
In a breakdown (no pun intended) by province, a total of  1,964,720 out of an estimated 3.3 million gun owners have a valid licence/fac/etc.. And out of those, a total of  311,495 have registered their guns as of Nov. 17 /2001. And just how many guns have they registered? A Total of  1,431,731 out of a possible 16,500,000. Number of guns the Feds have to register by the end of the year? 15,068,269. How many guns must they register, in each of the 306 days left before the deadline?  49,243.  Chances of making this ridiculous registry work? Ø. The Value to law abiding gun owners, of knowing this whole system is going to come crashing down?   Priceless
MINISTER’S USER GROUP ON FIREARMS EXPOSES GUN REGISTRY’S FATAL FLAWS
Ottawa – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, released documents prepared by the Justice Minister’s handpicked User Group on Firearms.  Even though the User Group’s actual recommendations were covered-up by the Justice Department, the information provided exposes even more problems in the Liberal’s problem-plagued gun registry.  “These documents are very revealing because they show how poorly thought out this entire scheme was from the outset,” stated Breitkreuz.  “Why are they keeping the User Group’s recommendations a secret?  Why didn’t they give us the Minister’s response to these recommendations?  They always gave us this information in the past.” (The 'Liberal Gun Licence" is only the 'tip' of the problem with this system. I've owned handguns for over 30 years, but I can' shoot in 'snub' competitions, because I can't own one simply because I didn't own one in 98. NO OTHER REASON. The Majority of long guns in this country will NEVER be registered because people simply do not trust this Government... It Truly is a 'Registration for Future Confiscation', and no matter how many tax dollars are thrown at it , they simply won't get the majority of Canadians to give up their freedom and security in favour of  a 911 call to chalk another outline around another body..)
U.K. Gun Control another "Culture of Safety"
London heading for crime record AndA 16-year-old boy has been shot dead in a street. AndDying woman robbed of Rolex After being shot in the back (Gun control only Disarms the innocent and Law abiding)
Do You STILL Trust This Government?
OTTAWA - The federal government will ask the Supreme Court of Canada today to give Cabinet absolute power to conceal its documents -- and to place such decisions beyond the scrutiny of any judge. Lawyers for the federal Attorney-General will argue Parliament has enacted a power of Cabinet confidentiality so great it allows the government to declare information secret even after it has been disclosed.(This allows the government to rule in complete secrecy! Soon, will come a move to eliminate opposition parties, and perhaps voting.. The Liberal Government, continuing the policy of  "Power at Any Cost" and continuing to squander the  the 'blank cheque' given by 36% of the popular vote... Oh ya! and don't forget to register your guns!)
S.A. Gun act must become reality
WHY is government dragging its heels in implementing the new Firearms Control  Act? This act was passed by Parliament in 2000. Government has a clear  mandate to control firearms. The policy underpinning the law is very clear in its objective to reduce the number of firearms in circulation in SA. Signed:Adele KirstenDirector, Gun Free SA (Oh you poor misguided woman! Do you think it 'might' be because the S.A. act is modelled on the Canadian one, and Wow, is THAT ever working well...For the Criminals! You should re-name your organization to "Legal Gun Free SA" because the criminals will ALWAYS have theirs, to take what's yours!.. Here is A reply that was printed the next day)
Success of The Liberal Style, Unarmed Singing & Chanting Approach
PURACE, Colombia -- When the guerrillas came to destroy this little town, Jhimmy Guauna was there to stop them. The musician and member of an indigenous band left his simple whitewashed home with weapon in hand: his flute. Soon, nearly everyone in town had  joined him in the main square. They chanted. They sang. They waved white flags and told the guerrillas  to leave. The New Year's Eve uprising did not succeed. When the rebels left a few hours later, several  buildings were in ruins. Two police officers had  been killed. And Guauna was dead. Medical  workers said a single bullet had passed through his throat, silencing the singer, painter and aspiring lawyer. Whether stray round or deliberate shot, the townspeople got the message: Next time, let the guerrillas win.(Beating your swords into a 'plowshares', only results in 'wasted' life, and a lot of dead farmers)
Gunman shoots three dead in Munich rampage
A 22-year-old decorator who had been sacked from his job shot himself dead yesterday after killing two of his former employers and his former headteacher during a five-hour rampage in Munich. Police said the gunman was a known violent offender who had  been arrested on several previous occasions. The incident is expected to bring renewed calls for stricter British-style gun controls in Germany. (Hey! I have a 'brilliant' idea for you: How about controlling the guns of  "known violent offenders" FIRST! The absurd punishment of all Law Abiding gun owners, because KNOWN OFFENDERS commit crimes with guns, usually starts with some hoplophobic half-wit as it did in Canada, and results in a soaring crime rate as is now seen in Britain. I believe Hitler was very pleased with German gun control results last time! But I don't think the people benefited much.)
BEWARE There has been a Court Ruling!!
Revenue Canada (Or the C.F.C.) is not liable for wrong advice
"The answer, I am sorry to say, is no," wrote Justice D.G.H. Bowman. "I agree that the result may seem a little shocking to taxpayers who seek guidance from government officials, whom they expect to be able to give correct advice. Unfortunately, such officials are not infallible and the court cannot be bound by erroneous departmental interpretations."(Calling the C.F.C. for HELP in filling out your firearms registration form?  'ALWAYS GET IT IN WRITING' Even THAT won't guarantee you wont be fined, or do jail time for bad advice from the Government.. This is Why you should NOT fill out any firearm registration form WITHOUT  legal Assistance.. Better you leave it BLANK or Marked UNKNOWN than incriminate yourself, or call the C.F.C. for help. Remember if  THEIR wrong it's YOUR  ass... Print out this article, you may need this ruling for defence evidence if you are hassled by the government for not completely filling out a firearm registration form.. Remember, it's no more complicated than the Canadian Income Tax Act !! )
Ottawa breaks financial rules with TPC funding
Breaking down TPC spending by province, the study shows that 57.5% of the $1.79-billion committed so far is going to projects in Quebec while less than 10% is going to western provinces. No TPC funding has gone to projects in Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island or the Territories, so far.(These are obviously areas that did not vote Liberal. More Shawinagan Fountains, and Canoe Museums for Quebec is what the country 'really' wants.. Remember, your 43 times more likely to get screwed, than kissed by Liberals with tax dollars to spend, and elections to win. And all because of a  big blank cheque given to them by 36% of the popular vote in the last election!)
2002 2002 2002
The year 2002. The 20th day of the 2nd month, 2002. And, on the 24-hour clock, at two minutes after 8 p.m., harmony. 2002. And it happens on Wednesday. There hasn't been a moment quite like it in more than a thousand years — not since 11:11 p.m. on Nov. 11, 1111, in fact. That would have been expressed as 1111 1111 1111.(The NEXT biggest display of usless 1's and 0's will be the Auditor Generals findings, at the long awaited C.F.C. audit)
FAT Chance!
Chilean doctors say a 19-stone man who was shot in the stomach was saved by his rolls of fat. They say the bullet lodged in the man's fat and did not damage  any vital organs. A thinner person would have been killed immediately.(Ha!!! Using this theory, I've seen some Detroit cops that must be bloodywell bullet proof)
Father kills man who raped his 13 year old daughter(Agence France-Presse)
Police said the man, who cannot be named, burst into a bar in his small town of Seyne-sur-Mer with his daughter late on Friday and pointed his gun at a 22-year-old Tunisian she said raped her several weeks earlier.  His quarry ran as soon as he saw the weapon and was killed with a single shotgun blast in the back. He died before paramedics called by the dozen witnesses in the bar arrived.(Although vigilantism is not the answer, it's also not likely this guy will rape anyone else's 13 year old daughter. As the father of three girls, I won't be shedding any tears over this.. )
Peel Regional Police - Drugs and weapons seized
Two men, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession Controlled Substance for Purpose of
Trafficking, Possession of a Restricted Loaded Firearm (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle (2 counts), Possession of an Unregistered Firearm (2 counts) and Careless Transportation of a Weapon (2 counts). Both men are to appear for a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice later today.(Using previous cases( see case#1 and case#2) as a guide, all those firearms charges should be good for at least 4 mo. in jail, actual time served will be 1 1/2 mo. and a fine.)
Handgun mishap kills man Pistol in clothing fires; snowmobile rider dies
He could not remember any kind of similar death, calling it unusual as both an  accidental shooting and a snowmobiling mishap.  "Most of the people who carry firearms have a long rifle, not a handgun.  "It's very unusual."(A handgun, not being as cumbersome on a snowmobile in the wilderness, can be a lot safer than a rifle. However, Canadian law says you can't have one on you unless you are a prospector or geologist with a permit, that requires it for protection against animal attack.. Had the carrying of this handgun been legal, as it would have been in the U.S., it would have been safely carried unconcealed  in a holster, and this person who was obviously NOT on his way to rob a 7-11 would be alive today.)
John Q. insults our IQ
Shortly before John Q.'s release, Denzel Washington, the movie's lead actor, explained that his latest flick isn't  really political. Mainly, he argued, it's a story about a man struggling with his son's illness. John Q. is endlessly political, endorsing more liberal themes than a Teddy Kennedy speech: the cruelty  of free trade, the need for better gun control, the incompetence of the police force (due to racial  profiling, we assume).(Something like a case in Toronto a while back, where the police simply shot the guy..)
Attention Criminals: This Virgin is Armed, and Safe!
As far as Jay Lee can recall, the last person to be killed by a firearm in Virgin, Utah, was his own uncle Ervin. "He went out rabbit hunting," the Mayor says. "And when he got back, he reached in his truck to pull the  gun off the seat and it went off and killed him."   "When you get in a city, you get all that propaganda," he says. "'A firearm's terrible. A firearm's dangerous.' Well, in the United States, we have 1,500 accidental fatal shootings a year. That's pretty good for 80 million gun owners."(Yup, that's about .00187% accident rate.. I'll bet GOLF has a higher rate than that! And we won't even get into jogging or swimming)
"Six-Shot Dot" Dead!
CALGARY -- Dorothy Joudrie, the Calgary socialite dubbed "six-shot Dot" for the shooting of her oil-tycoon  husband in 1995, died in hospital Thursday. She succumbed to liver and  kidney failure at the age of 66.(The end of a long sad story)
Weapons, ammunition stolen
A licensed gun owner is in trouble with police after five powerful weapons and 875 rounds of ammunition were stolen in a break-in at a Scarborough house yesterday.(Left wing newspapers ALWAYS have to proceed  the word 'weapon' with adjective such as "Powerful, Dangerous, Deadly..etc.." It just wouldn't be 'fear mongering' without it!) "They were properly licensed in his name and I guess the federal government knew he had them," Det. Banks said. "What was illegal, and why he's facing the charges, is that they were at an address that wasn't specified on the licence. (Perhaps he moved them from the legal address because of  word that his personal information and firearm location, 'may' have already been sold to criminals who needed the guns..They just discovered where he moved them, to hopefully keep them safe. This information will no doubt be available from 'some' individuals in the new 'private' registration contract, in the same manner cpic info has been available to gang members when needed. Liberal Contracts: contributing to the "Culture of Safety" for ALL Canadians..)
Issues that register
Edmonton -- If having a national sex-offenders registry can help prevent sex crimes, as Canadian Alliance MP Randy White says he believes (Sex-Registry Details Uncomfirmed -- Feb. 15), will he now put his support behind the national firearms registry?(Only if , and when, the sex offenders can avoid the registry by being 'Permanently Deactivated' and then ONLY for the guns of Sex Offenders and other Criminals.. You know, A registry that will REALLY reduce crime and not just give bureaucrats and their friends a well paying job!.)
The Bullwinkle Defense System
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The same Star Wars technology that the U.S. military developed as a defense system against missiles is now helping Canadians in their battle against pesky wildlife. Moose are particularly dangerous because of their long legs, he explains, noting that when a car plows into one of the ungainly mammals, it is likely to come up over the hood and right through the vehicle's windshield. "In moose alone last year, we paid out close to $2 million for accident claims in Northern B.C.," Gilfillan says. The infrared sensors can scan several miles of road and relay warnings to 4-by-8 foot digital signs posted along the highway. The signs will identify what species of animal is on the road and warn drivers to slow down. The animal detectors will be field-tested in British Columbia's rugged Kootney Mountain region in April, with production and installation scheduled for 2003. (The system will also no doubt, offer the opportunity for some to carry a GPS 'moose scanner' to pinpoint yer moose  in the woods.. It also may improve the 'harvest' of moose by road hunters who, like true trackers,  need only to 'read' the signs)
Maryland Youth justice system grilled
Maryland's juvenile justice system broke down in the case of 17-year-old Tyrone Beane, a prosecutor said yesterday, as legal problems deepened  for the youth charged in two killings. (This is a look into 'another' youth justice system, however, they should thank their lucky stars they are not having to deal with the new farce which is "Youth Criminal Justice Act", Bill C 7" Have a look at what the Liberals are now doing to Solve(?) this problem in which they have deemed Assault, rape and armed robbery are not considered violent offences! This link is to the webpage of Jonathan Wamback, a victim of the old Y.O.A. You and yours, will 'now' be victims of the Y.C.J.A.)
Winnipeg biker gang member kicked out of Canada
Ricardo was deported on Wednesday after serving six months of  a nine-month sentence for possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition. (Hell, maybe I'm wrong but doesn't the 'Fire Arms Act' Require a prison term of 'years' for possession.. I noticed the charge did not include a 'unregistered' weapons charge I can only assume that the Hell Angels are now registering their firearms.. ya sure!)
Another Gun Shop Raid.. This time Lock and Load  'Again'
Bidniak said once all the seized weapons are packed up, "what has to happen in the next few days is we have to sort out what is legal.  "But likely all of the guns, the legal ones, will be turned over to the provincial firearms officer, depending on what happens with this person's licence."  And she said "charges are pending. It's just that those charges have to be sorted out, because there's so much paperwork to go through with this size of  a seizure." Bidniak said Thursday's investigation is not connected to a raid at several stores, including Lock and Load, last summer. Last June's investigation and charges were triggered by the discovery of  supposedly "deactivated" handguns at Edmonton crime scenes.  Police spokesman Wes Bellmore said that one such gun turned up at the scene of a homicide. Another jammed when a suspect tried to fire it at a city police officer.(I don't think the gun cops have ever raided a legal gunshop, where the majority of charges were not eventually dropped. The ones that weren't, were 'misdemeanours'. Just like the raid in Kingston, we'll wait and see what happens)
Closing U.S. gun loophole
Under a  new federal regulation to go into effect tomorrow, non-immigrant aliens will no longer be  able to purchase guns or ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was considering promulgating the new policy prior to Sept. 11. The attack helped speed up the often ponderous process of bureaucratic rule-making. It's hard to see how anyone could find the regulation objectionable. This not being Dodge City, tourists, businessmen and others who are here for a limited time have no legitimate need for guns.(Planning on attending an I.P.S.C. or PPC match? Mabe your a Olympic Biathalon Shooter.. Better check your status 'before' reaching the U.S. border)
Canadian air marshals learning how to shoot guns on planes
My first piece of advice would be that these constables are highly-trained in terms of addressing  those types of situations. He or she will take action that will seek to deal with a situation and protect their safety, and be very careful about injury to them. Given the post-Sept. 11 environment, I suppose that self-preservation will dictate that if people saw the situation out of control after the air marshal was engaged, passengers would certainly attempt to take the situation into their own hands. I certainly do not support that, but I understand that when every other step has been taken... assuming that the situation remained out of control, then the sense of  self-preservation would dictate to me that they would take action." (Perhaps before boarding, you should ask "How many Liberals passengers are on board?" This would give you a fair idea of the low level of  "self preservation" that might exist if  liberal were (Gasp) forced to defend themselves.. The majority, would simply grab their cell phones, dial 911 and wait for the police to miraculously appear at 30 thousand feet)
Other than 'that' Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
"Notes of the circumstances attending the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, on the evening of April 14, 1865, as witnessed by me," the diary begins. "At about 10:30 p.m., my attention was directed toward the President's box by the report of a pistol,  and I saw a man leap from the state box, shouting as he did so, 'Sic semper tyrannis,' " a Latin phrase meaning, "Thus always to tyrants." Dr. Taft saw the man, who would later be identified as actor John Wilkes Booth, brandish a knife and flee. When there was a call for a surgeon, Dr. Taft ran to the stage  and was hoisted into the president's box.At one point, another physician inserted a probe through the wound into Lincoln's skull but the bullet could not be located. "All the surgical aid that could be rendered consisted in keeping the external orifice of the wound free from coagulation and promoting discharge of blood and brain tissue," Dr. Taft wrote. (It would look as if the 'surgeon' had as much to do with Lincoln's death as Mr. Booth did!)
Man shot during home invasion
Police said two men forced their way into the home in Dartmouth just before 10 p.m. The victim was threatened with a handgun and a struggle  ensued.  The victim disarmed the  intruders but not before a number of shots were fired. One shot struck the  34-year-old victim in the hip. (I would think that it's a pretty safe assumption to say this man was shot by an armed, 'unlicensed' criminal with a 'unregistered' handgun.. The victim on the other hand, would have been required, under penalty of imprisonment, to be in possession of  a  Liberal Government 'Firearms Licence' before he would be allowed the 'privilege' of owning a gun for the "Security of the person" Rights Granted in the Canadian Constitution!.. But wait a minute! You can't legally own a firearm for self-defence in Canada, so this "Right to security of the person" stuff in the constitution, has been voided! Feel Safer because of the 'Firearms Act'? I didn't think so!)
Question of destroy vs. recycle
If  Peter Yeomans has his way,  the city of Montreal will destroy the revolvers of about 4,600 municipal police in full public view when the weapons are replaced with semi-automatic pistols this year. The now-defunct Montreal Urban Community voted in August to approve the  $4.7-million purchase of 9-millimetre semi-automatic pistols and accessories to replace the police's arsenal of .357-calibre revolvers and 30-year-old Smith &  Wesson .38-calibre revolvers.  The $400,000 represents what the city would get for trading in the old guns. Yeomans said he's concerned about reports old handguns from other police forces have wound up in criminals' hands. Would you be ready to pay about 25 cents "to have that gun destroyed so it didn't get into the hands of the wrong people?" he asked.(This clown must use the same "fuzzy logic" as the C.F.C. in his calculations. 25 cents indeed! Simple Math Yeomans! Please pay attention for once: 4600 guns, times 25 cents is $1150.00 PLUS the $400,000 dollars lost on the trade ins = $401,150.00 . Equal to a years pay for 7 police officers, or 16 police cruisers, or how about something as simple as taking  $401,150.00 of the new gun costs. Your "gun-o-phobia" ideals have no place in the pockets of taxpayers. These traded in firearms have no more of a chance of ending up on the street that the new ones being issued have! Keep your paranoia to yourself,  and seek treatment.)
Britain Warns Police Chiefs on Crime
LONDON (AP) - With muggings and violent crime soaring, the government warned police chiefs Thursday that it will intervene if they fail to halt the growing lawlessness on British streets.  "We should be ashamed...that you are six times more likely to be mugged here than you are  in New York." Gun crime also has risen, with the number of muggings involving a firearm in London increasing from 435 during the six months ending November 2000 to 667 during the same period last year (Britain did not have these problems until they banned the lawful ownership of firearms. The only people that gave up their guns were the 'law abiding' Now, being largely an unarmed population, the 'armed' criminals are harvesting the benefits of gun control..)
9/11 Terrorist's In-Law Kills Self Fleeing Police
The brother-in-law of a Sept. 11 hijacker blew himself to bits in Yemen yesterday when a grenade he was about to hurl at pursuing police exploded in his hand, authorities said. Yemeni officials said the younger al-Hada trained in Osama Bin Laden's terror camps. (Obviously slept through 'Grenade Class 101' !! I've heard that some of these bright young students are now confining themselves to "terrorist telephone threats": "Listen closely western infidel pig! Pay close attention., The sound you hear is a Burning Fuse...I will not make my demands twice!")
Anyone with a son named 'Shooter' is ok in my books..
Country music outlaw, Waylon Jennings, dies: NASHVILLE. - Waylon Jennings has died at his home in Arizona. The country music superstar had suffered from diabetes-related health problems for some time. He was 64. (I Met  Waylon Jennings back stage at the Ryman in 1966, and he showed up at a few of our parties at the Capitol Park Inn in Nashville. He always seem to take the time to interact  with his fans, and hoist a few Canadian Beers.. A good time was always had by all.. He and his music will be missed..)
Liberals NOW say they will start a Sex Offender Registry
Mr. MacAulay, who had repeatedly resisted calls for a mandatory registry, (perhaps some of his relatives might be in it)said he hopes to introduce  legislation "as soon as possible," hopefully later this year. "I don't want to get into the guts of what the legislation will be, but I would expect if somebody moves their location, they will be required to indicate to the police that they are moving," he told reporters. "It's this type of thing that makes the system much more effective." He offered no explanation for his sudden change of heart.(Gee!! "they would be required to indicate to the police that they are moving"..These assholes have spent a Billion Dollars on the registering, licensing, tracking and harassment of  law abiding citizens simply because their 'grandfather' may have left them old .22 rifle or shotgun in the will. But NOTHING for the protection of woman and children for tracking pedophiles and rapist set free by their bleeding heart policies on what they laughingly call 'rehabilitation' .. You want to rehabilitate a repeating sex offender? Cut his Balls Off....)
PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS 58-PAGE “VERBAL” REPORT ON C.F.C. REVEALS COVER UP
Yorkton – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, released another damning document about the Liberals badly botched gun registration scheme.  It took almost a year, two access to information requests and two complaints to the Information Commissioner to get the 58-page, $75,000 PricewaterhouseCoopers report dated May 2000 and titled: Canadian Firearms Program – Update to an Efficiency Review Conducted in April 1999.( Click here for a synopsis of the report kept out of the media's hands..It's obvious from this that rumours of lies to the media are all true, and this registry farce has no chance of succeeding unless another billion is thrown at it. The latest issue of "The Firearms journal" from the NFA states that since the forming of the National Cancer Inst. of Canada in 1947, The Dept of health and welfare has contributed only 700 Million dollars to cancer research ........700 MILLION DOLLARS IN 54 YEARS..........   THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT HAS WASTED THIS MUCH, IN LESS THAN 7 YEARS, ON THE C.F.C. STOP THE INSANITY NOW!!

Accidental shootings claim 2 lives
(1)Ramon was shot Monday evening in a bedroom of his West Side home as he and his 14-year-old brother were both handling a 9mm handgun, Chicago police Sgt. Robert Cargie said. Ramon's older brother found the gun in the alley and Ramon somehow obtained it inside the house.(2)Witnesses told police that Jones was acting "a little reckless, pointing the gun around,'' Cargie said, so his friends tried to get the gun from him. "During the struggle, the weapon discharged,'' (If there EVER was a reason to teach firearms safety in schools, this is it. "Keep em Ignorant Keep em Safe" doesn't work any better for firearms, than it does for sex education.)
Crews Take Up Guns To Fight Pirates
Armed hijacking and piracy has become such a major threat to the multi-billion pound shipping industry that crews are carrying arms to ward off attacks. The pirates carry weapons ranging from kitchen knives to AK47 rifles. Last year, 21 people were shot dead in raids from the Mediterranean to Malaysia. In October, a British skipper was forced to fire a shotgun at raiders who had attacked him with automatic rifles when they boarded his freighter off the coast of Sierra Leone.  John Bailey, 52 from Hornsea, East Yorkshire, chased a gang of pirates around the 5,200-tonne Cape Georjean. After one of his shots hit an intruder, they fled.(As amazing as it might seem, this story was found on the The Hoplophobia News Centre Even 'they' now seem to admit that being armed 'might' be a good idea)
Something has changed and it's not the guns.
I went to school in a different time, the late 1950's and 1960's. It was a semi-rural area, and most people in the area  had guns. I looked at every schoolday morning as a death-row prisoner must look at their last day on Earth, except I knew I'd have to repeat it tomorrow. One classmate expected me to show up every morning and accept my beating. I did it. Like many other kids in my school, I had easy access to guns. If any kid ever had motive, means and opportunity to blow away their teachers and classmates, I did. The LAST THING I would have dreamed of, however, would have been to shoot someone. I watched Elmer Fudd point a shotgun, point-blank at Bugs Bunny and pull the trigger. All that happened to Bugs was a soot-covered face. Somehow, however, I knew you didn't point a shotgun at a person. I knew you didn't kill. (I, and most of my friends owned .22's, and 303's in the 60's, it was common to tie your gun case to the crossbar of your bike, and ride to a un inhabited hunting/shooting area just north of Toronto. NO ONE ever thought of using a weapon to settle a dispute. A simple punch in the mouth was all that was usually needed, and there were no victims, the rules were clearly laid out, and the police were almost never involved, unless of course a swift kick in the ass from the local cop was used to guide you on your way.)
UN promotes Chernobyl wildlife tours (No Joke!)
A report produced by several leading UN agencies says lack of human activity in those areas has allowed plants and animals to flourish."The natural environment has returned there.  It is a huge area that is very natural, with lots of wildlife and unique types of animals."(Come see the 'three headed rabbits' and funny coloured grasses as they scamper between the four legged mushrooms, lay back and soak up some 'rads', enjoy the altered evolution.. Strange though, the 'people' are not flourishing! But then again, the U.N. sees the world much differently than you and I)
Sept. 11 a classic attack, bin Laden aide boasts
An aide of Osama bin Laden has hailed the Sept. 11 terrorist assaults as one of the most stunning surprise attacks in history, on a par with the  Japanese strike on Pearl Harbor and Nazi Germany's blitzkrieg invasion of the Soviet Union during the Second World War.(Uh Huh.. and history also shows what happened to those invaders.. Hopefully, dna tests being performed on a bombed out area in Afghanistan, will show that Bin Ladin is now simply a 'major stain' on some desert rocks..)
The Firearms Law is NOT Being Enforced Against Criminals
ST. CATHARINES - A man linked to Montreal street gangs -  who was arrested with two  loaded handguns after a  kidnapping and robbery in  Niagara Falls - got a 10-month jail sentence yesterday after throwing himself at the mercy of the judge.Crown prosecutor Andre Bourgon had called for an 18-month sentence to send out a strong message that "gun play'' and gang violence won't be  tolerated in Niagara." What he does in Montreal is his business. We don't want him in Niagara. We're satisfied if he picks up his things and leaves,'' Bourgon told the judge. (This only PROVES the liberals ridiculous Firearms Act is NOT understood by either prosecutors, or judges. C.C. 271(1.1)Every person who commits an offence under subsection (1) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable (a) where a firearm is used in the commission of the offence, to imprisonment for life and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of four years; and (b) in any other case, to imprisonment for life. The Law Also states that this minimum 4 years must be served "Consecutively" to other charges (i.e. Kidnapping). These guys could have been put away for a long time but Nooooo... Is there any  wonder why there is no fear among criminals of getting caught with a gun during a crime.. The gun charges are STILL being thrown aside. Feel safer in this "Culture of  Safety"? I didn't think so! But if YOU are a Duck Hunter with an 'unregistered' shotgun in 2002 YOU will be prosecuted.. Ya.. Vote Liberal...Feeel the Burn...)
Gun crimes haven't risen in Michigan
I am a firearms instructor in Michigan. We had a new concealed-carry weapons law go into effect on July 1. More than 21,000 new concealed-weapons permits have been issued in Michigan since then. Approximately 22,000 permits were in existence before the law went into effect. That gives us around 43,000 CCW permit-holders. Contrary to all of the anti-self-defense people's scary predictions of blood in the streets, road-rage shootings and shoot-outs at the OK Corral, we have seen none of these things.(And neither has anyplace else that has allowed law abiding people to carry firearms for self protection. But one thing all these places have in common, is the Crime Rate HAS gone DOWN as a result. How do the Anti's explain that?)
Liberals' registry is targeting the least dangerous guns in the country
But instead of cleaning our streets of baseball bats, hidden knives and smuggled handguns (or better yet, of the criminals who use them), the Liberals are pouring $12 million a month, or more, into their registry of the least dangerous guns in the country. And you won't be one jot safer for it.  (I'm sure our various police forces could have found a better use for a Billion Dollars, AND saved some lives.. It MIGHT even have given MORE votes to the Liberals.. and after all that's what this is all about isn't it)
Pedophile Toft released on escorted day pass
Toft, 65, has admitted assaulting as many as 200 boys from the mid-1960's to the mid-1980's while he was a guard at a reform school in New Brunswick. Corrections officials say Toft will be eligible to apply for unescorted passes in about four months. The two parole board members who wrote the report recommended conditions of  his release include a curfew, reporting to a parole officer, undergoing more treatment and staying away from children under 18.( I can't help but wonder what the "parole boards" recommendations would have been if told he would be moving into 'Their' neighbourhood)
York student wounded her killer
Lin Tao managed to fight her  attacker for just a few brief minutes before he cut her throat, leaving her to die in a parking lot adjacent to a busy north Toronto road.On Dec. 27, a woman was attacked leaving a bus in the Don Mills Rd. and  Finch Ave. E. area, but she was able to escape the knife-wielding man.  Police believe the same man attacked another woman Feb. 1 as she left a bus near Don Mills Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E. Again, the woman was able to escape.(If given the choice, would a woman rather reach into her purse for (A:) a cell phone to call 911 explain where you are and wait for the police, while fending off an attacker. or (B:) a short barreled lightweight .25 or .32 cal. handgun which the liberals have banned because their a  danger to the attacker...)
Border trade hit by security
OTTAWA - The drive for security by U.S. officials could  hamper Canadian business by slowing trade at an already highly congested border, say two prominent business leaders. The negotiations have stalled on a number of issues including pre-clearance, the use of gun-carrying U.S. customs officials in Canada and technological issues such as database sharing and use and control of information, Mr. Keyes said.(The problem the Liberals see with "gun-carrying U.S. customs officials in Canada" is that if they allow Americans to carry guns, it will be hard for them to argue the arming of Canadian Officers is not necessary, and again having Canada's stupid, ill conceived, gun laws pointed out to ordinary Canadians whom they have convinced, that gun are dangerous no matter who has them, as the political farce that it really is.)
11-year-old shoots, kills assailant threatening his grandmother
SOUTH BEND — When Tony D. Murry held a box cutter to Sue Gay’s  neck Monday night, Gay’s 11-year-old adopted son ran upstairs at the home at 1348 N. Huey St. and grabbed a gun. “He hit the bottom of the stairs with the .45 and stood ready stance with the gun,” said Gay with feet spread apart and her hands outstretched as if holding a handgun. The boy shot one round and hit Murry, 27, in the chest, even though the  man was shielding himself with Gay.  “I don’t know how he did that. One shot and he got him. He’s my little hero,” Gay said of the grandson she adopted. The fifth-grader may not have been just a lucky shot. This is a family that knows guns. (If Sue Gay had been a Canadian citizen, she would also be a criminal murder statistic today.)
Curious About Vermonts Gun Laws? Here They Are:
" Don't shoot deer after dark, especially with a light, and don't have a loaded rifle or shotgun in your car."
Now you are familiar with Vermont's gun laws,  according to Bennington Police Chief Richard B. Gauthier. Although Vermont has one of the highest per-capita gun ownership rates in the country, Gauthier said Vermont has one of the lowest per-capita violent crime rates in the country. (Why? You ask! Because unlike in Canada, which borders Vermont, Criminals in Vermont are pretty sure they may be shot by their 'intended victims'.. Canadian criminals, thanks to the Liberals, feel pretty safe victimizing Canadians, so why not stay where its nice and safe. For them.)
Guns and Crime in Canada: A Quiz (From the Frazer Inst.)
Take the Quiz!! Print it out, and have your Anti-Gun Friends Take the Quiz. Have your children take the quiz to school? Leave it on buses, park benches, Have your MP take the quiz.  Have your local paper re-print it.. Remember, Your 43 times safer if you own a gun!!)
ALLIANCE GOVERNMENT WILL CANCEL GUN REGISTRY PRIVATIZATION CONTRACT
“When Bill C-68 is repealed, a private company will not be needed to run an effective gun control program.”
Yorkton – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, served notice on all companies bidding on a proposed 15-year contract with the federal government to help implement and operate the Justice Department’s problem-plagued gun registry.  News reports put the estimated value of the contract at $300 million.  “I asked the lawyers in the Library of Parliament to tell me how we could cancel this contract without experiencing the problems the Liberals did when they cancelled the Pearson Airport deal,” said Breitkreuz.  “The government has broken every promise they made about the gun registry and wasted almost $700 million in taxpayers’ dollars on their politically-motivated firearms fiasco.  We intend to put a stop to this useless program and the red ink as soon as the Liberals are kicked out of office.  I thought it was only fair to warn the companies bidding on this unnecessary contract.” (A Smart private company will plan to make it's profit on "Cancellation Fees" and not on any actual 'work'!)
And the "Culture of Safety" Continues
A 24-year-old woman was killed  last night after her throat was slashed in a purse-snatch attack outside a North York apartment building. (If this punk 'thought' his victim 'might' have been armed, There's a pretty good chance 'this' woman would still be alive, and another 'unarmed' person would be dead. Just like someone in the U.K. said, "Put the fear of crime back into the criminal.")
28 firearms surrendered to police as of Feb. 6
Toronto residents have surrendered 28 firearms in the 10 days ending Feb. 6 as part of Operation Gun Stop. Under the amnesty program, which runs until the end of March, any Toronto residents who bring to police handguns, sawed-off long guns or automatic weapons will not only avoid criminal charges but will be given a pair of tickets to a Raptors basketball game.(28 down, thousands to go. If these are 'stolen' guns, Will they be returned to their rightful owners, as the law requires? Or, will they be quietly and illegally destroyed?)
Utah Gun Packers Don't Leave Home Without
Until the mid-1990s, Utah had fewer than 1,000 citizens with concealed-weapon permits. Then, like many other states, Utah changed its laws in 1995 to qualify most law-abiding citizens for a permit. Now, about 42,000 state residents, or 3% of the adult population, are licensed to carry concealed  firearms. They cannot carry guns in secured areas such as airports, courthouses and jails. Utah ranks 12th lowest in the nation in violent crime.( If Guns 'Cause' crime, why do  Places Like Utah and S. Dakota (The highest per capita gun ownership) have the Lowest violent crime rates. When cities where guns are banned, like New York and Washington D.C. Have the highest violent crime rates?)
The Legacy of U.K. Gun Control
THE bloodstained streets of London are fast becoming the most violent in the developed world, a top cop  revealed yesterday. Inspector Glen Smyth, chairman of the Metropolitan Branch of the Police Federation, warned: "Street crime is spiralling out of control. "People have good reason to be scared. In some London boroughs the rise has been catastrophic. Street crime in the capital is like a ticking timebomb — and I fear it will get worse before it gets better." Insp Smyth spoke as leaked Home Office figures showed a nationwide  increase in muggings of more than 26 per cent in the past nine months. "We need to put the fear of crime back into the criminal. At the moment crime is getting worse because the criminals are getting away with it."(In a Society of largely 'unarmed' citizens, where a law abiding home owner can be charged and convicted for pointing a firearm at a felon invading their property, The Criminal is KING. No wonder crime is out of control..The Answer is simple: Allow citizens to defend their homes and property "Put the fear of crime back into the criminal.")
AIR CHRETIEN
Jean Chretien is flying on his own (without the usual plane full of press and aides) to Australia for a Commonwealth meeting in early March, leaving the DND Airbus he usually flies parked on the tarmac in Ottawa. Instead, insiders say Mr. Chretien (Read TAXPAYERS)will be leasing a Bombardier Global Express, an executive  jet with plush, leather interior, wood-grained cupboards, and marble-topped counters.(With plenty of room for his golf clubs, the "Pork Barrel Express", Hereafter known as 'No Force One" "Isn't too big to land on the runway at the airport in Coolum, the golf and beach resort where the meeting is being held")
Quebec: Weapons charge against summit protester dropped(Nat.Post w. to e.)
QUEBEC - Jaggi Singh, a protester at last year's Summit of the Americas, will not face a weapons charge for possessing a catapult used to fire teddy bears at police. Mr. Singh will instead face a single charge of participating in a riot, a Crown spokesperson said. He originally faced 10 charges when he was arrested in April, 2001.(I can only assume the Teddy Bears did not attain a velocity of 500 fps)
B.C. Pig Farm May Reveal Incredible Horror Stories
Lynn Frey, of Campbell River, B.C., said she spent days searching and talking to women in Vancouver's downtown eastside after her daughter Marnie went missing in August, 1997. "We drove by the farm that the women had told us about, and it was exactly as they had described, when they told us all these women had been taken out to party. I just felt a chill  because I suddenly felt in my heart that Marnie was there," Ms. Frey recalled. "We had been told there was a rundown house and a dumpy yard with a woodchipper on the  property and lots of piles of dirt. We drove up to the place to look around and it was just as they said. Then these large dogs came running out after us and I felt so terrifed and it was so creepy that we drove away."(The firearms charges that gave the police an excuse  to search this pig farm, may be the only beneficial result of the entire firearms act since it inception)
Canadians use paint to improvise camouflage
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - Frustrated by having to wear boreal  green camouflage uniforms in a desert environment, Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan began slapping brown latex paint on to their rifles, bulletproof vests and other equipment yesterday.(Maybe the bureaucrats at the C.F.C. can supply some of the whitewash they've been slapping on the gun registry? Actually, what they've been spreading to camouflage their figures is not really white, but much closer to the brown colour our underfunded soldiers could use!)
Passenger hit with axe in plane drama
United Airlines Flight 855 had taken off from Miami at midnight with 142 passengers and 15 crew members on board.  Moreira, 28, began kicking the cockpit door about five hours into the flight, as the  jetliner flew over Brazil, Orihuela said. The FBI spokeswoman said Moreira forced it open and went inside the cockpit of  the Boeing 777. But United said Moreira did not get inside the cockpit. "The passenger never gained full entry due to the reinforced cockpit door bar United has installed on all of its fleet," Chairman and CEO Jack Creighton said.  Orihuela said the co-pilot grabbed a small axe and hit Moreira in the head, subduing him.(Good job airline pilots are now armed with 'axes'!!! Canadian pilots of course, must pummel there assailants with 'tim bits' Much safer than those dangerous firearms, and 43 times less likely for the pilots to injure themselves..)
Hunting gathered deer
In the hierarchy of hunting, bagging a grizzly with a bow and arrow must come at the top; it certainly requires skill and courage. In the middle falls hunting deer with a rifle in the wild, which requires skill but not much bravery. And at the bottom, requiring neither, is potting animals in a pen from which they cannot escape.(Not everybody has the ability to climb a tree, and sit for hours on a deer run.. Pens that are several thousand hectares, are not any different than hunting in the wild! Most hunters NEVER cover several thousand hectares in a 'real' hunt.. So what the heck is a 'real' hunt anyway? Articles written by some, make it look as if the deer is tied to a post, waiting for someone to stroll by and blow it's brains out. Several thousand hectare areas, are more than enough for a decent 'hunt' and only someone who has never tromped & hunted through that much terrain would refer to the deer as "Sitting Bucks")
Canada joins U.S. in massive fighter jet project
"It could generate a great deal of economic activity in Canada," said Ms. Filiatrault. "It's a very positive, positive thing. We're going to gain significantly in the field of aerospace technology." Canada's investment in the next phase of the project -- the actual development and demonstration of the aircraft -- will include $100-million from the Department of National Defence and $50-million from Industry Canada's Technical Partnerships program.(Ya but lets spend ten times that amount on a bogus crime control scheme, and turn a million Canadians into 'paper' criminals first...Gotta keep our liberal priorities straight!!)
Freed cop killer arrested in B.C.
After being convicted of murder in Montreal in 1983, Tabah was handed the sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years. But on Jan. 20, 1999, through a Montreal court hearing, he was deemed eligible for parole through the faint-hope clause and was later released, having served at least 17 years of his sentence "We were outraged when he was released. We and the police chiefs association have lobbied hard in Ottawa to make sure that people like him serve their minimum of 25 years."(The parole board that set him free, was pretty damn sure he would not take up residence in 'their' neighbourhood, so what the hell, let the poor guy out.. After all, other than law abiding gun owners, to the bleeding heart liberals there's no such thing as a 'criminal'. Only misunderstood, un rehabilitated offenders.)
New U.S. Gun Rule Bars Some Foreigners
The rule also requires foreigners wanting to bring a gun into the United States for hunting or sporting purposes to first obtain a federal permit through the ATF, something that will allow the government to better track such guns, one official said. Currently, foreigners can bring a gun into this country for hunting and sporting purposes without a  ATF permit as long as they satisfy US. Customs Service agents. (Going to the U.S. for a P.P.C. or I.P.S.C. match? Better check before you get to the border.. If an American shows up unprepared at the Canadian  border with a handgun, it's 'Forfeited to the Crown' I.E. confiscated.. Of course,  the U.S. may not be a draconian as our Canadian hoplophobes)
Two charged with weapon offences
Also see Article below: A 53-year-old Inverary man faces 11 charges including three counts of trafficking in firearms, three counts of possession of firearms for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of trafficking in ammunition and three counts of unauthorized transfer of firearms.   A 28-year-old Kingston man faces three charges including one count of trafficking in a firearm and two counts of trafficking in ammunition. They are scheduled to appear in Kingston court March 12. The investigation is continuing.(We're just going to wait, and see how this plays out.. So far, every big raid has resulted in 'dismissal' and/or minor infractions.. If these guys were 'really' selling firearms to criminals they SHOULD feel the full brunt of the law..)
S.A. Radio Thief Shot Dead
He phoned the police and then went outside with his firearm. Venter said the owner banged his hand on the car and asked the man to get out of the car, warning that he was armed and police were on their way. The car owner said the intruder got out of the car and rushed at him. He apparently fired a warning shot which was ignored by the intruder who continued to attack him. In the struggle, he fired again, killing the intruder. When police arrived they found that the vehicle's front left window had been smashed, the radio had been removed and wires cut.(Someone who Rushes a man who's already fired a warning shot, would have to be Deaf, Blind or Stupid.. He's not deaf  because he wanted a radio, not blind because he found one, which leaves the one thing most thieves have in common. BANG..yer outa the gene pool..)
Airport security firm 'finished,' DOT says
In November, a man carrying seven knives, a stun gun and a box labeled tear gas cleared Argenbright security in Chicago, Illinois. Just last week at the  airport in San Francisco, California, thousands of travelers had to be rescreened because an  Argenbright employee let slip away a man with what appeared to be explosive residue on his shoe. "Argenbright is the Enron of airline security," said David Stempler, president of the Air Travelers Association. "They have failed us at every turn."(This guy would not have got through at Montreal! The box labeled "Tear Gas" and not "Gaz lacrymogène" would have been quickly apprehended by the Language police)
CIA chief: 'They will hurt us again'
Poverty and political instability of the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa has created a breeding ground for terrorist recruiters, Tenet said.  Over the next two decades, those regions will have the highest populations of youths who are most likely to become terrorists, he said.(The governmental joke which is 'Immigration Canada' has lost track of  an unbelievable number of  terrorists allowed into our country because they simply spoke the words reminiscent of 'open sesame' : ..."I am A Refugee"...'And I will Vote Liberal'
Weapons and Ammunition Seized - Kingston Sporting Goods Store
KINGSTON, ON, Feb. 5 /CNW/ - Officers from the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, and the Kingston Police Service today executed search warrants and seized weapons and ammunition from the Kingston Gun and Tackle Store, on Golden Mile Rd.  The seizure follows an intensive three-month investigation into the illegal sale of firearms and ammunition. Seized were approximately 315 non-restricted firearms, 20 restricted firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition. The investigation is continuing.(So far, every time a legal store is 'raided', its the result of some over zealous 'pin-head' in a position of authority, and all charges are eventually dropped... We'll wait , and see what this is all about..)
Life in U.K. London Where Now, Only the Criminal is Armed
Police, who said they were investigating dozens of cases of  car hijacking, acknowledged that violent crime had erupted in the past year and particularly since the September 11 attacks when hundreds of officers were moved to guard security targets.  They said robberies in London involving firearms had jumped by half while street crimes had risen by nearly a third in the  six months to November compared with the same period in 2000. "You can get that day after day by reading of the muggings, the knifings, the carjackings going on in this our capital city. It's shaming and it's disgraceful," he said. In a bid to clamp down on violent street criminals -- many of whom are graduating to gun crime straight from the classroom -- London police have drafted in hundreds of traffic officers to help their beleaguered colleagues pound the beat. (Make it a criminal offence for a law abiding person to own a handgun, make it a criminal offence to protect yourself with a firearm, and you get a criminal society that feels pretty safe, and and able to do just about anything it wants. This is also the Liberal Agenda for Canada. Australia is almost as bad.. Common denominator for Britain, Australia, Washington D.C., New York City? They all ban the legal ownership of firearms for self defence.. Canada also bans them for self defence, that's why gun crime is increasing here too)
Guns Still Legal in U.S. Capitol Buildings
John Velleco, a lobbyist for Gun Owners of America, said the threat of terrorism is all the more reason to allow law-abiding people to carry guns into capitols.  "Studies suggest that people who carry guns are part of  the solution to crime problems and terrorists," Velleco said. "If you prohibit the good guys from carrying guns, then we're all sitting ducks." (In Canada, other than the police, ONLY the criminal carries a gun.. Therefore using "City Dwelling Yuppie Liberal logic", Guns MUST be dangerous even in the hands of law abiding citizens. After all, everything they have ever seen or read about firearms from other "City Dwelling Yuppie Liberals" is bad!.. But just once stop to think, how many times have you heard the terms: Armed invader, Armed attacker, Armed rapist,  Armed Criminal.. Have you EVER heard the term "Armed Victim".. I didn't think so.. there's a reason for that..Can you guess what it is?)
LIBERALS TRACK LAW ABIDING CITIZENS BUT NOT CONVICTED SEX OFFENDERS
Today, Garry Breitkreuz, MP for Yorkton-Melville, joined the chorus of Members of Parliament in criticizing
the federal government for failing to deliver on its promise to establish a national sex offender registry by January 30, 2002.  Breitkreuz is also the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, and he slammed the government for forcing law-abiding firearms owners – under threat of up to two years in jail - to report their change of address to police, but allowing convicted sex offenders to roam free.  “The Liberals have turned the entire justice system on its head.  Instead of focusing on the known criminals who are a real threat to society, they are spending hundreds of millions of dollars focusing on law-abiding citizens who – by issuing a firearms licence – the government has declared are no threat to public safety. (Not only are law abiding firearms owners no threat, they also don't vote liberal anymore.. While on the other hand, the main beneficiaries of the gun control legislation are the home invaders, pedophiles, rapists, and street gangs, who are finding life in a increasingly unarmed society has never been safer. They, are more than happy to vote for the Liberals as they plod along with their incredibly ignorant agendas.. )
Minister reacts to poll showing two-thirds of Canadians want judges voted in
The poll, based on telephone interviews with 2,000 adult Canadians, was commissioned by the Association for Canadian Studies, an umbrella group for university and college Canadian studies departments. The survey was carried out between Dec. 13, 2001, and Jan. 5, 2002, and is considered accurate within 2.2 percentage points, 19 times out of 20. (Polls are only considered when they meet the Liberal Party Agenda)
Liberals thumb their noses at the pubic, and continue to hide their spending practices
There are concerns that the new rule is helping conceal potentially embarrassing information about the way politicians are spending public money. The policy recently thwarted an investigation by the Winnipeg Free Press into unproved allegations that Allan Rock, the Industry Minister, and one of his senior aides used ministerial funds to further his leadership aspirations in Manitoba.(The Liberals are telling Canadians that it's none of your business how "The Ruling Party" spends your tax dollars. This is the act of a Governmental Dictatorship that has been in power far too long.. Even Trudeau never went this far in his "power at any cost" governmental extremes)
THIS IS THE COMPANY THAT WILL HELP THE GOVERNMENT
WITH THE EVENTUAL CONFISCATION OF YOUR FIREARMS
Former justice minister Anne McLellan confirmed last year that the government had contracted out part of  the program's processing work to a private firm, BDP Business Data Services Ltd. of Toronto.  She described
described it only as "outsourcing" some services for efficiency and savings.  Successive contracts with BDP
have so far cost the government $8.5 million, according to documents Mr. Breitkreuz obtained. (By clicking the BDP link in the text, you will see that this company which has already been paid $17,665,133 dollars by the C.F.C.is also:Intercon Secutrity, ChemLawn Canada, Cleanol Services Inc., California Closet Company (and a host of other American Companies the NRA should know about).. If their so quick to jump on the bandwagon to help disarm Canadians for a buck, they will also no doubt be more than willing to help deprive Americans, and the NRA of their 'second ammendment rights.)
Registry useless against crime: If idea hasn't worked for handguns,
why would it work for duck guns?(Lorne Gunter )
There is no evidence in StatsCan's numbers that licensing law-abiding gun owners and forcing them to register their guns with Ottawa could force down robberies by even a fraction, let alone a significant amount. In fully 82.2 per cent of firearms robberies, the gun used is a handgun. Handguns are restricted weapons. It has been a requirement of Canadian law since 1934 that their owners -- or at least, their law-abiding owners -- register every handgun they possess. In other words, it has been a criminal offence to possess an unregistered handgun for the past 68 years. Yet, in 2,940 of Canada's 3,575 firearms robberies in 2000, the perpetrator still chose to use one. On top of the nearly 3,000 handgun robberies, another 243 firearms robberies were committed with illegal or prohibited guns -- sawed-off shotguns and rifles, machine-guns and so on. In all, 3,183 of the 3,575 firearms robberies involved guns that will never be detected by Ottawa's registry. Thus, 89 per cent of the guns used in robberies are already illegal guns and no registry of law-abiding owners or their firearms could ever prevent these robberies.(C-68 has NEVER been about gun control, as much as it's been about 'people control' The Feds Know that crime is not going to be prevented, they know the criminal will continue to carry firearms, they know the money they have spent has just been wasted, and if they Don't, they would have to be the stupidest group of misfits on the entire planet.. )
Shooting better than virtual violence for children, says U.K. rural poll
Most adults believe children should be taught to shoot as a healthier pursuit than playing violent computer games or watching adult films."Learning about shooting encourages children to be safety conscious and to exhibit a mature, responsible attitude towards firearms - an especially needed counterbalance to the worrying trend among many young people, who have never been properly exposed to firearm use under supervision, towards viewing firearms as some kind of fashion accessory or symbol of power."(Only a complete and utter idiot would believe that firearms education will make children want to go out and shoot somebody. Keep em Ignorant --- Keep em Safe has NEVER worked in any context. Teach a child to handle firearms safely, and the knowledge he or she gains will keep them safe from associating with 'know-nothing' punks who think firearms make them tougher, when in fact they only highlights their ignorance and stupidity.)
Federal gun registry has done nothing for Toronto
Haven't Toronto's hoodlums learned of the 1995 federal Liberal firearm  legislation? Enacted in 1998, it requires all who possess firearms to become licensed. This should lead metro's finest to the location of all the hoods' guns.  And under the Firearms Act, these folk will have few protections against search  and seizure.By now, Toronto's criminals should have taken advantage of the free gun registration program offered by the Canadian Firearms Registry. This freebie ended last December — but is still available if one registers online. Under this program, all licensed firearm owners can register their guns under a simpler, dumbed-down procedure — no questions asked, no verification needed. So what is Toronto's contribution of 23 cops and free Raptors tickets — shoot hoops not guns — going to achieve? And will these costs be charged to the federal government?(At Last word, 9 guns had been handed in for Raptors tickets.. It seems as if the punks will keep their guns after all.. Feel Safer, thanks to the Firearms Act?... I didn't think so!)
If you ever need a dozen holes in a nickel, call Jim Hinkle of Grayson.
As an accomplished rifleman of 30-plus years, he routinely clusters that many  22-caliber bullet holes within a half-inch circle in competition from 50 and 100  yards. The estimated 300 master riflemen at Nationals each fired 40 shots in 40 minutes --- changing targets after the first 20 --- in four matches a day for four days. Of a possible 6,400 points, Hinkle scored 6,393, and like most he competed against, he landed everything within fractions of an inch of center. (It one thing to 'pick off' ground hogs at a hundred yards with a .22, but to pump that many holes into a boring little circle, requires a lot of patients, and a 'zen-like' control of your heartbeat and breathing.. Not something easily accomplished..)
No more Mr. Little Guy
With no Opposition to speak of, a cowed Cabinet and a glumly silenced backbench, Mr. Chretien has turned his sights on his one remaining area of vulnerability -- the volunteers who help run the federal Liberal Party. The Prime Minister wants them to change the rules to give him unfettered access to as many party memberships applications as he wants. This would allow him to stack his own leadership review scheduled for February next year -- a review that was meant to take place last year but that was delayed at his request. These are not the actions of a leader who regards himself as a "little guy." They are the strong-arm tactics of a man who has enjoyed power a long time and has no intention of giving it up for a long time to come.(The arrogance of this "Doddling Old Fart From Shawinagan" will be his downfall.. Canadians are starting to tire of his dictatorial policies, and even trained seals in the back benches are starting to bark out. The best thing he could possibly do for any upcoming opposition party, is stay, and RUN for a fourth term..)
Mountie who blew whistle could lose job
But allegations lodged against Cpl. Read say he flouted his oath of secrecy and ignored the orders of superior officers when he talked to the media about the Hong Kong situation and provided confidential documents to the RCMP's public complaints commission and reporters.(Well pardon me if I'm wrong!.. But.. Is this not a police officer who is sworn to uphold the law? Or does the RCMP believe themselves to be 'above' the law? When this officer saw a 'crime' in progress, who was he supposed to report it to? The upper echelon committing the crime? If this officer is punished, it will truly signify the 'beginnings' of a police state, where 'some' are above the law, and YOU will be punished for pointing this out)
Police recruit civilians to fight crime
Police in Ontario and Manitoba are recruiting citizen volunteers to patrol the high-crime and troublesome
areas of their community, part of a growing nationwide trend of putting civilians on the front lines in the fight against crime. Dubbed "the Rat Patrol" by some who equate it with vigilantism rather than community activism, Citizens on Patrol is spreading to most provinces where cash-strapped police forces are praising the program.(I'm all for the 'reporting' of 'real' crime but I won't be donating my time while the "cash strapped" Police (associations) are supporting the ridiculous folly of the current firearms act, and the BILLION dollars wasted in the ongoing process to turn ordinary citizens in to 'criminals' for continuing to own property they or their families may have owned for generations.. They want YOU to offer your time, so they can free up more officers to throw YOUR ass in jail when they find your great grandfathers old .22?)
Gun registry defends pace of licensing
David Austin said in a telephone interview from Ottawa that more than a million of the 1.8 million licensed gun owners in Canada have returned their packages already. (Yes, The majority of firearms owner 'have' returned their packages.... BLANK... )
Terrorist 'Sleeper Cells' in place:Liberal Priority? Disarm it's Citizens
FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III yesterday told reporters that "sleeper cells" of would-be terrorists could
be operating throughout the world — including in the United States — and that they pose a potential threat for new strikes against U.S. and other targets. (See someone tampering with  a water supply? Call 911 and wait.. See someone sneaking around the perimeter of a nuclear power plant? Call 911 and wait... Stumble across a building full of ammonia nitrate fertilizer? Call 911 and wait... See someone cutting the perimeter fence at a military base? call 911 and wait.. Someone is stealing your crop duster? Call 911 and wait... What do they call unarmed citizens who call 911 and wait?..  'Dead'....)
