SECTION 5: THE HABITAT

A.  WHAT TYPE OF QUARTERS WERE YOU PROVIDED WITH?  The Omine Camp was an old sanitarium with big sliding windows.
B.  APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY FELLOW PRISONERS SHARED SUCH QUARTERS?  Eight to a small room.
C.  WHAT KIND OF BEDS WERE YOU PROVIDED WITH?  No beds.  We slept on mats on the floor.
D.  WERE YOU GIVEN ANY BEDCLOTHES?  Yes.
E.  WHAT WERE THEY?  One blanket.
F.  COULD THEY BE WASHED FROM TIME TO TIME?  Yes.
G.  WHERE DID YOU TAKE YOUR MEALS?  In the mess hall, or we took our lunch with us to work.
H.  WOULD YOU SAY THAT THE ABOVE APPLIED TO ALL YOUR FELLOW PRISONERS?  Yes.
