Just can't express in words as to what a wonderful job you've done with Kings Crown. Thanks for showing the clear open salt piece and talking about the "vanilla". I think I picked up a real bargin the other day -- found a clear vase and if it's not King's Crown it sure runs a close second. Thanks for sharing your collection and all your hard work. Keep it up.

Lynne, The latest page you have on KC is sooooo cute! I totally agree, use it and leave it for the relatives when you die at full value $1.00....although I suspect your mother in law PASSED away....did she really paste away? If she had a sense of humor, she is laughing now. Take Care Terri Nardi

I recently picked up a 4 place setting set of what appears to be Kings Crown Ruby. The set is perfect except one of the four plates has a chip in it so now I must find a replacement. The collectible book also says to see Ruby Thumbprint- Whats the difference. I love the color and design of the set and would like to be sure it is the Kings Crown Ruby. Nice Web Site. I will be back. Thanks

I have a spooner and a celery vase. I always thought that the spooner was taller than the celery. According to your information it lists the spooner as being not as tall as the celery. Is that true. Also I have bid on 10 items and have gotten outbid everytime. High prices from what I have seen so far. I have 3 toothpick holders. Just got 1 last week good condition for $10. On eBay they are going for minimum $35.

thank you for this web page. i find it facinating been reading books on it but this is much more fun. Please tell me about the the mold marks. i have some goblets with 2 lines and some with 3. Does this date the piece or just different glass co? Which is more desirerable or does it matter? some of my glassware (not KC) have a square bottom. All the old glass goblets that i have seen do not, so these must be made in the 80's. A glass dealer wouldn't answer me at an antigue show thought I was crazy.I am very interested in finding Ruby KC glass candle holders. Thank you Ann

This is a nice place to find! I started learning about KC as a child while "tagging along" with my Grandmother. It looks like a few of us have inherited the bug in various ways! I've been collecting since about 1990ish. I always have my eyes peeled for nice additions. I'll have to keep an eye on your Trading Board. ;-) Have a nice day! Miles

Nice website. I learned a lot about pieces that I didn't know existed! Curious to know why you have no word on sandwich plates, dinner plates, and serving platters? Also 2 kinds of tumblers and 3 sizes of wine-type glasses? Oh, and that some non-footed salad bowls are fluted and some are rather straight? LF

Thank you so much for the fabulous page. I have been collecting for about a year, but I haven't been able to get any information on it. I did pick up one piece that was labeled "God's Thumbprint". Has anyone else seen this name?

King's Crown Fanatic: Other names I have read King's Crown referred to are thumbprint, ruby thumbprint, ruby thumbprint-clear, blue thumbprint, X.L.C.R., Excelsior, Dubonnet, Old Thumbprint, Golden Nineties (all over gold painting, and Antique Thumbprint to name most of them.

When my crystal (a wedding gift) was stolen I decided to replace it with something different. Since then I have gone on to collect most of the dinnerware. Surprisingly, although my husband said OK to satisfy my whim, he has seen a complete place setting of a table and has fallen for this pattern, too!! Now on to the "accessories"!!

Hi Lynne: I visit your site about once a week to keep informed, "attend class" and meet other KC afficiandos. Really had to leave a note about the new "Trade Forum." What a great idea! Although there might be other King's Crown sites cropping up on the net, your is the KC site of choice if you are a true "purist" KC Collector and/or looking for accuracy (really lacking on other sites). A visit here is always a first class trip. Thanks for your hard work and the many hours you have put into this site. Hope to complete my KC inventory soon and start trading. Larry

I too have one of the "stretched" compotes in the white glass. So far all I been able to find are the goblets & compotes in the white glass. I do have a small compote in a black metalic finish. It really has a metalic look to it. I have several of the painted thumbprints in purple & green. Some are on flashed gold goblets. I am always looking for unusual pieces. I have a vase that I bought at a yard sale for .25. I was astonished at the opening bid on ebay recently at 52.50 for the same piece. Your site has gotten bigger & better since the last time I visited. I plan on coming back more often.

Hey, I have been to your site many times, but never signed the guest book. I am looking for: 1) a single piece to fit in an incomplete ruby cruet set 2) a bottom to a ruby butter dish 3) a top to a flat ruby candy dish I also would consider trading pieces. That might be fun and interesting.. Also, I am the purchaser of the kings crown clear punch set you have pictured on the splash page of your site. I payed around $100.00 for it INCLUDING insurance/shipping. It is absolutely beautiful, certainly not a repro, and in great condition. It's very large too. Dawn Keough

Hello. Wanted to thank you for your information on the difference between "Diamond Point" and "Saw Tooth". Looks like what I purchased as Kings Crown was actually Saw Tooth and not Diamond Point. The most notable and easily recognizable clue was the ball on the stem. My husband and I found your entire site extraordinary. Keep up the good work. You will never know just what a person like you can do for "the new collector". Again, thanks a million. E-Mail me anytime, as we would love hearing from your. Vickie & Paul

I've been a dealer selling Kings Crown for 20 years. I sold this pattern before many dealers would even give it any notice at all. In fact, dealers would laugh at me for having it for sale at a Depression Glass Show. I have a long list of collectors who are searching for this pattern. I would appreciate any help in finding the hard-to-find items in Kings Crown for my customers. I must say, though I don't collect this pattern, I do love the look of the glass and the richness of the color. Gwyn Key Key's Glass Kottage Box 145, 403 Main ST. Mom & I have enjoyed browsing King's Crown. In looking at the various colors, mother admitted to passing up something in yellow one time thinking it a repro. With the help of this page we won't pass anymore odd pcs. of King's Crown. In regard to the punch bowl that sold for $615, even mom said that couldn't be the right ladle. She saw a punch bowl set in Austin one time like the one that sold for a grand, it had a clear ladle. Thanks for the opportunity to learn more. Teresa & Gertie B.
