      A Peach Tree's Situation

I am a nice tree. I am called a peach tree. I am related to apricots, cherries, and plums. I have very tasty, thirst quenching fruit. Botanists call me Prunus persicia. Every tree has its own stories of its life, like other living thing. Although I am not a human or an animal, I need air, light, and water like them. In addition, my food is soil.
My owner planted me in his garden 20 years ago. You see, I am getting older. .However, I am still energetic. I blossom every year and give a lot of fruit. The garden is small and nice where I live. My garden touches another garden. The other garden is not as green as my garden. It is like a jungle with many flowers and a few trees. Some of the flowers are silver dollars, snow balls, and irises. There are so many different colors; it is like rainbow in this garden. And as you may know, at the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold.
I would like to share with you what happened to me after blooming. The next -door neighbors cemented their garden and built a deck. They simply planted their flowers in the pots. On the other hand, they like to take pleasure in at their deck, eating dinner and brunch.
One Spring morning, while they were enjoying their branch, they were talking. I heard my name and started to pay attention watchfully. The woman next door was very uncomfortable with my branch that grew over into her garden. When my fruit grew, my branch would lean over more their deck even more. So she wanted her husband to cut my branch. She said insects would come to me, but I think my fruit is why she wanted to cut my branch. Oh, my branch and baby fruit! What was happening? What did these people want from me and my baby fruit? Was this life fair? I was scared stiff. My branch, my baby fruit, they were part of my family. These people would kill my family in front of me. This woman was a mother, but. I was suspicious how she could be a mother and kill my baby? I wanted to say something, but I hat to be silent and it was fruitless to change her mind. I was so sad about these circumstances. Didn’t they think about how they were damaging the environment?
Everyday l wake up with fears and ask questions When will they cut my brunch and fruit? Maybe today, maybe tomorrow….
